Re: Fallout 3
Thanks guys, i've never played oblivion, but this game looks incredible. I love games that let you level up and customize, go searching for items, ect. I probably would have liked oblivion but I really only play fps lately. This is a game I plan on sinking a lot of time into. So what did you guys put your initial stats in? What perks have you unlocked and stuff. I heard there were over 100 different perks. Do you get points for kills and stuff that go towards your skill and stuff? Once again thanks so much guys for taking the time to answer questions!Comment

I put mine into Strength, Endurance,Charisma and Agility. The 2 perks I have so far are gun nut and thief..Every kill gets you some experience points..The perks are endless..Tough decisions ahead.
For my 3 skills I picked Sneak Small guns and Lockpick..Last edited by Darkleaf; 10-27-2008, 07:51 PM.Comment

Re: Fallout 3
Well I have the Gun Nut perk (adds bonuses to small guns and the repair skill). Thanks guys, i've never played oblivion, but this game looks incredible. You get XP for completing quests and kills.
You can select 3 skills to put extra points in at the beginning of the game, I chose small guns, repair, and energy weapons.
Edit: Oh yea, I put points into strength, Endurance, Intelligence and agility. (SPECIAL Skills)
You also get bonuses from clothing.
JSKY, it depends on how you want to play the game. I always end up realizing I should have done something differently when I start playing the game. I did it with Oblivion. The good part about it is, once you realize how you want to play you can start to build up those particular stats. I knew I wanted to shoot people so I went with small guns, energy weapons, and repair so I can fix them. You need strength to carry more stuff and beat the crap out of people. Endurance gives you more health during fights, charisma helps in bartering and so on. It all depends.Last edited by Mr.Wednesday; 10-27-2008, 07:58 PM.PSN: PhiNuPi

It walks you through the controls and tells you what you need to know, the Pip boy does everything just get used to using it and you will be fine.Comment

Re: Fallout 3
How many hours have you guys put in, also what level are you guys at? how much has been spent on the actual main quest, or do you find yourself just exploring? Any other cool moments that you can remember or didn't expect? Also, I've seen many times when you shoot a raider or whatever a thing pops up and says "performed a critical strike" or something similar.......do you get more points or something when performing a critical strike? Also how long does it take for your action points to replenish? Do using vats for headshots, take more ap than if say taking their legs out? Probably my last set of questions but feel free to keep posting up info as you play!!! Really appreciate it!Last edited by garnettrules21; 10-27-2008, 07:54 PM.Comment

Re: Fallout 3
I put a good 5 hours into it today, to be honest I feel kind of overwhelmed and defiantly lost lol, Most memorable was walking around for 2 hours only to be beat down by 3 fire ants (Forgot to save)Almost felt like throwing up.. Save save save and save, Even the lowliest fire ant can kick your ***..Comment

Re: Fallout 3
I've put in about 4 hours. I'm only at level 2. I'm just wondering around now. I've done like 2 side quests. I got a critical strike once. I'm not sure if if got any extra points. I mainly aim for the body the further away the enemy is.How many hours have you guys put in, also what level are you guys at? how much has been spent on the actual main quest, or do you find yourself just exploring? Re: Fallout 3
I don't plan on doing anything but sidequests for the first 10 hours or so. I love leveling up and exploring too much. I did that in oblivion. 20+ hours without first main quest mission. Then I got RROD and lost it all. I'll be backing up the save file on my memory card this time aroundComment

Re: Fallout 3
You have to find the sweet spot, by trying the bobby pin but not too hard...Try turning a little while moving the pin around if you turn too hard the pin breaks..Start from one side and move the pin in increments until you find it..Sorry its kind of a hard thing to explain.
As far as finding pins I have found all of mine in drawers, lockers and metal bins..Comment

Re: Fallout 3
I really want this game but i think i might have to wait for a (hopefull) pricedrop down the road because of the sheer number of great games out or coming out right now.
This thread is making it very difficult to stay away from buying it asap!Comment
