I'm mixing it up...there are times where I'm playing like gears because I'm pinned down and I die otherwise. Other times I takeout everyone without being detected.

This game reminds me of max payne. It's a cross between old SC and max payne I would say.

I agree with reviewers that this could have been called something else. There is a lot to like though. I disagree though about not being able to go back...there are a bunch of things I miss from the older games.

it's very fun for what it is, I think I'm close to the end though.

Anyone beat this yet and have some final impressions?

Anxious to hear what people say after they've completed it.

i like the game but i am let down from it because it took so long for it come out i was expecting it to be better.

also they changed the game and story so much from the first impression when the details of this game came out.

what happen to the sam fisher who had long hair and had backpack? did they take that out completely? or am i not there yet

No you aren't at the part with emo-Fisher yet, there's a part where:
            Spoiler

It's after the credits so you'll have to wait through them and play it. If you turn the game off before the credits are over then your save becomes corrupted.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

I've moved since the last time I used Gamefly. I figured the credit card would be the deal
                    breaker, but nope, same card.

The availability is low for Splinter Cell, though. Who knows when it will ship.

Re: Splinter Cell Conviction (360 & PC)

                      Beat the story mode tonight.

I never thought I'd say it, but this may have overtaken Bioshock as my favorite single player campaign on the 360.

The story was awesome and took a semi-cliched plotline and turned it into something truly memorable. Almost every level was incredibly fun to go through, the AI was incredibly well put together and actually surprised the **** out of me with some of their decisions (for instance: I thought I had remote mined every entrance to the room I was in, but low and behold there was apparently one doorway I missed...they busted through that and I turned around and had three guys blasting me in the face), and the gameplay was incredibly fun. The animations transitioned beautifully between one another - from jumping over one object and going directly into cover along another one, to falling from a pipe, landing on a guy, and then executing two or three others, to simply jumping out a window and swinging onto a ledge.

Hands down worth every bit of the $60 dollars, will easily be the first game since Bioshock I go through multiple times.

And that doesn't even count the multi-player (sorry for ignoring you, EG, but once I finished dinner I realized I was near the end and needed to beat it).

Truthfully, the best way I can describe this campaign for me was it was the video-game equivalent of an amazing book that I did not want to put down. No matter how many times I told myself: "I'll stop after this chapter (level)," I always ended up playing one more, and then another, and then another.

If anyone on the fence has any questions, let me know and I'll do my best to answer them.

I went ahead and fixed that for ya.

I agree though, I'm not done yet, but this game is just 100% fantastic. Like you, I'll be playing through multiple times.

                          Yeah, that's a good fix.

I just spent the past 20 minutes answering questions for one of my best friends and his final response was: "I'm trading in some games and getting it tomorrow. **** you, Greg."

Leave it to OS to change my mind on games lol. From everything I've read in here, I might just have to make this a purchase like I was planning on doing in the beginning.

i've clocked in probably of 5 hours of gameplay....

what i've finished? went through hunter mode twice on st perterburg on realistic, and now just starting hunter on the russian embassy.

                                replayability is immenseee.....

haven't even touched coop, single player nor inflitration. (last stand just doesn't appeal to me)

you want the game to be pure stealth ? play it on realistic and be challenged

you want the game to be a shooter? play it on normal and go balls out with your machine guns and grenades ( you'll just die too much on realistic).

very versatile and flexible this game....
