This game's an absolute blast. It takes some time to get used to all of the different vehicles and weapons, but there's no better feeling than locking in on enemy aircraft and bringing it down with a missile.

...except evading a 5-missile lock, u-turning and sending back a few missles of your own.

I love the aerial combat in this game, even if I suck using the sixaxis to control it.

Is the sixaxis mandatory in this game?

Nope. It's an option, and I think it's off by default.

However as backbreaker said, there is something to be said for being able to aim your guns anywhere on the screen, instead of just the direction you're facing. And you'll only get that with the sixaxis.

I had one lockup through the first 2 nights I've had the game. And I've yet to notice ANY effects of lag.

                  Thanks for the response.

Do you feel the sixaxis is pretty responsive?

VERY responsive when the sensitivity is maxed out - it responds to even the slightest tilt. But if you make small movements on that setting it can be controlled, and is actually quite fun. I've gotten the hang of just flying around on that setting, but I still get destroyed when trying to go online and shoot down people.

On the default, it feels a little tight. I'll probably settle for somewhere in-between.

You've had sex before, right Sully?

Anyway, I picked it up at Gamecrazy and can't wait to give it a go. For some reason Target didn't have it yet.

I opened it, played a game with a locked room to get everything down all by myself. I'm very impressed. It's very much like Battlefield. It sounds awesome in surround sound. It feels very much like a PC game though...not a bad thing at all.

I was pretty hesitant to buy this but I went ahead and took the plunge, Im glad I did. This game is a blast to play! After a few games I went ahead and hosted my own room. There are alot of options to choose from, I choose the dogfight option, which is aircraft only. I mainly did this so I could just learn the controls. I had alot of fun playing it and the sixasis is pretty cool. You can fully customize your controls which is another good thing. All of the games I have played have had no lag whatsover. There is a bit of a learning curve, especially with the air combat. Anybody that has a PS3 should own this game.
