Candy, I believe there are badges and medals and ribbons for all different types of kills.

Also, I suggest making your own 1 man server and practice flying. once you get into the multiplayer games some of those guys will kill you a lot if your not good at flying. just got to practice some.

There was some dude, by the name of killdw that kept on team killing. He must have killed me a few times, so then I spent the remainder of the time on the map hunting this bastard down and killing him anytime we crossed paths. I hate people doing that.

People team killing are either kids just being stupid, or people who don't care and just want to piss everyone off. You won't see that in official serves (the blue ones).

Flying is pretty tough. I don't think there's any question it's the hardest thing to master on the game. I usually prefer to stay on the ground, but I enjoy fighting in the air when the game's not stacked with amazing pilots. It's a lot of fun once you start to get the hang of it and don't get owned a lot, like I did at first.

Was this in a player server? You can check for team damage on the right scroll down bar before joining the server to see if it has any team damage in it.

Official servers, aside from the Expert ones, are all TK off because people were abusing it (i.e. killing someone just to get their pack, or damaging teammate vehicles, etc.)

Edit: Candyman, if you want, I can create a server if you want to hop in sometime.

I know how that feels with teamkillers. Pre-1.1 these guys would ruin the official servers, so they finally dealt with it.

If I log on when you're playing, I probably try to hop in the same server. Hopefully there isn't any rank restrictions, since i'm currently a wingman.

happens a lot, not only with people for not doing well (I do that if someone sets me off when they aren''t doing anything and they either talk smack to the team or tell me to shut up if I'm asking for help with dealing with multiple pilots, etc., or if someone I faced before that has gotten on my nerves before). I'm trying to remember what the situation was.

I've given up on working on changing it because it always happens. But trust me, there are people far worse than I am.

1.4 just released today... well, yesterday actually.

It features two new game modes:

Hero: Team Death Match in which one person on each team is designated as the "hero". The person is buffed up in both attack power and health, and also earns all ground troop weapons, but this is temporary for just more than a minute before a new hero is randomly selected or the player dies. The scoring system is all related to the hero. Points can be scored by the hero when the hero gets kills or if you kill the opposing hero.

Collection: There are cores scattered across the map in which your team has to collect to earn points. There are 4 cores that can be passed along to score even more points. For example, 1 core is 2 points, 2 cores is 4, 3 is 7, and scoring all 4 at once is 10 points. Plus, everyone gets their points if they had a role in getting those cores in.

The patch also includes Quick Join, changes in some of the requirements for some of the medals, changes in rank requirements, larger vehicle icons on the map, and a few other things I forgot.

1.5 is to be released soon, that will include the trophies for Warhawk.

I really like both of the news game modes, though Hero sometimes seems pointless on large maps. It's pretty fun to be the Hero with a flamethrower in a group of people! Mining up the pickup areas in Collection is pretty fun, too...

Patch 1.5 with trophy update hitting August 27th.

When the PS3 trophy system was announced in June, Warhawk was to be one of the first pre-trophy games to be brought up to speed. They weren't fibbing! Sony have announced that, as part of Warhawk's 1.5 update, over 50 trophies will be introduced into the game, and they're being offered for achievements as diverse as hosting a game for four hours, playing a "perfect deathmatch" (come 1st, no deaths) and shooting down aircraft with a tank. The update will also introduce "custom music tracks from the Home Menu", new paint schemes and insignia and a range of tutorial missions to help new players out before jumping online. It'll be released on August 27.

I can't wait to see what the people from the EU Paint Scheme and Insignia contest came up with.

It's too bad it's flown under the radar unlike the US one. I wonder if they'll release a blog with pictures of the winning designs.

In any case, the trophies sound very interesting.

Sounds like the trophies will be something you actually have to earn. I was worried people would just stat pad to get them. Kind of like all the "50 Points" CTF servers you see up now. It pisses me off.
