I'm excited as heck about Unchartered. Give the PS3 another year and I think they'll be going pretty strong. It's amusing how insecure some 360 gamers are. What's so wrong with all three consoles thriving? I don't currently own a 360, but I'm not rooting against it.

Same here. I don't own a Wii anymore, but do I want it to fail? Nope. I want all three systems to be successful.

not that I want a flame war I just want an argument for why the PS3 is worth buying. I understand for the 360 there was nothing in the beginning and the 360 had to start somewhere, but the PS3 is just not putting out the games I was looking for. If ff13 was a launch title with MGS4 then I might be 600 bones poorer. Its more so asking for an argument for the PS3 because I would like to buy one but I dont see myself losing 500 dollars for a system that hasnt put out a decent game yet that I cant get on my 360.

I'm hoping PS3 does get better. I'm really looking forward to MGS and GT. Killzone looks ok and if it continues to look good I might pick it up. As of now PS3 is *** and I have no problem admitting it. The show is a great game. I hope it continues to be great, but on the whole as a system with so much hype behind it and a hefty price tag for most gamers, the system is ***.

Agree'd... imma get a PS3 eventually because.. it's in my nature to get all systems every gen.. but with all the hype spewed before launch and all this talk of "xbox 1.5" and "1080p at 120 fps!!!" and "next gen doesn't start until we say so" and launch PS3 games besting and outperforming all 360 games.. the best thing the PS3's been able to do is create a supertank that doesn't break & remain in 3rd place

I don't understand the fixation of what is going to kill the PS3. I'm actually enjoying it as the entertainment console that it's suppose to be. If your asking for one decent game then your not a baseball fan because mlb the show is the best sportsgame this year in my opinion.

I understand that the buzz has me interested in the 360. I understand that your getting optimal dev game design there too. And I favored the Xbox over the PS2 last generation.

But M$ just ditches the Xbox and their clients. Then M$ sells the Zephyr (code name POS). Denies it, then confirms defects. Confirms new model improvements and updated warranties but sends you back the same defective units. And to hear from fellow OS members that they simply return defective units, update new warranties as just part of their overall 360 means of enjoyments, I just don't get it. I played Halo and enjoyed it, and maybe when the new models are confirmed stable I may purhase one. But at the moment, there isn't one game on the 360 I need that the PS3 doesn't have. There is one game on the PS3 however that the 360 doesn't have.

There you go, a friendly argument.

Speaking on behalf of all mgs fans, MGS could be argueably the best game ever.

It's BY FAR the most anicipated game of my life, and I can't imagine what wonders it will do when I get it.

I don't know that it is. I wouldn't necessarily 'campaign' for someone to buy one, even though I honestly adore mine.

The sell-points for the PS3 remain primarily future-oriented, aside from the fact that it remains the cheapest Blu-ray player on the market (while gamers tend to poo-poo this fact, I assure you it's nothing to sneeze at). Otherwise, I don't think it's fanboyism to claim that the system has a fantastic upside. The fact is, it'ss still in its infancy.

Honestly, if that's what you're looking for, you probably won't find it. If you're happy with your 360, just ride it out. Get a PS3 next year, or the year after.

For sports gamers only, the PS3 will be the best system in the future because you can play ALL the sports games. Not having the Show was a huge reason I didn't get a 360. I only play football and baseball games so for me it was a no brainer. By next year or beyond I see both systems producing nearly identical versions of all sports game since the PS3 should have its football games running at 60 fps. I don't really think the power of either system will be a factor in system sales down the road.

MS does have a cheaper price point but its not that much cheaper when I factor in the fact I don't need to buy a roster device to get NCAA rosters. The fact that the PS3 has Blu Ray capabilities and is far more reliable were also secondary factors for me. I don't play online so the XBox Live argument is lost on me but the PS3 does have a built in WIFI for those that wanted it.

I agree with Undefeated. The PS3 has a fantastic upside (and since to Sage, the PS3 is ***, a great backside ). Everybody is suddenly impatient with the PS3, when it's going through a typical, old-school console progression.

I feel the same on the upside, but the dreamcast was a wonderful system but due to bad publisher support it died (sadly). The funny thing is games are coming out earlier on the xbox360 and later on the PS3. This is going to cause a problem when it comes to non exclusive games (which are dying) and now look at a game like assassin's creed oringally was going to make me buy the PS3 as well... then boom moved to the xbox360.

BlueRay has a nice upside. with the capacity of things that can be stored on this disk.
