Preordered yesterday! GS had a great deal where I got 50 bucks for trading in 2 games on their list and using it towards LA Noire.

This game will be awesome, love police procedural shows/games, and the fact that it's totally devoted to single player is perfect.

I'm hoping for some kind of gameplay preview though you hardly ever get that from R*. We might have to wait for some fool to play a copy on Justin TV to get any sense of it. LOL

There is no MP in LA Noire.

Damn... they really should have spent a good chunk of time on that...

Exactly (the spoiler part)...

This is a game that is designed for awesome single player (the facial animations, etc)...there's no way that MP would really fit. Nothing wrong with having a stellar single player game (look at Heavy Rain). I wish more game devs would do this, MP is not the be all end all.

IMHO I think all of this online mumbo has ruined alot of games really. I think people have forgotten what can be done with great SP games... this will just be one example

Hell, even though they need to get it fixed, I haven't even really noticed PSN being offline. I look for good single player experiences, and I know I'm not the only one. Yes, I enjoy Uncharted online, and Battlefield as well, but some of the half-assed efforts put into an online portion of games these days is embarrassing. Nothing at all wrong with focusing all your efforts on the SP campaign, as I feel that is still what most people look to first.

I love that R* focused on single player which is something that doesn't seem to be happening a lot lately. Most games these days have a halfway decent single player that is short and cheesy, then they have a multiplayer which they obviously spent way more time on. That is fine for some types of games that require more tea work, like ARMA II, but it shouldn't be that way for every game like it is now.

I wish this game had at least free roam online, but I'm getting this game and will enjoy it more than probably most games I own. I'm a big half/half guy. I wish more games were like GTA IV or RDR. Those games show that single player received tons of attention and are two of the best single player games this gen in my opinion, but they also have quality online that I love. It may be just that I love the open world sandbox genre like GTA and RDR, but I love their single players and then I love their multiplayer as well. I wish LA Noire took the GTA IV, RDR route in terms of offline and online gameplay.

I never enjoyed GTA or RDR online, so I'm glad the guys decided to focus 100% on single player.
