You think Rockstar has some talented people working for them? Wow. Everything they touch turns to gold. Can't wait to experience this game. I'm still riding a high from Red Dead.

Really interesting interview there. It's amazing how far they've come with this. I'll have to be looking out for Team Bondi in the future if they develop more games like this. Interestingly a couple desks were left out from their original plan (burglary and fraud)

For those that are still on the fence/undecided about where to pre-order, on top of the SharpShooter Suit, select Best Buy locations are having a midnight release and giving away some DLC if you're one of the first ones there: http://stores.bestbuy.com/135/event/...s-at-midnight/
Join us on Tuesday 5/17 for the midnight release of L.A. Noire. Blending action, complex storytelling, and detective work, L.A. Noire draws players into an open-ended challenge to solve a series of murders. Set in a perfectly re-created, pre-freeway Los Angeles, this latest Rockstar Games production blends cinema and gaming with a stunning post-war backdrop of drugs, jazz – and corruption.
The first 16 customers to buy L.A. Noire on X360 or PS3 at our MIDNIGHT OPENINGS will get a code to unlock the First DLC Pack, “Nicholson Electroplating” Arson Case, when it releases. (Minimum of 16 Xbox 360 and 16 PS3 codes per store. Offer good while supplies last. No rainchecks. See BestBuy.com/lanoire for more information.)

Madden and NCAA 11 should get me part of the way there. I would trade NBA 2K11 but I know that I'll get the urge to play it once previews start coming out for 2K12 later this year.

Also, does anybody know what the deal with the soundtrack for this game is? Is it 1940's radio, GTA style? Or an atmospheric soundtrack like Bully or Red Dead?

Either way, I'm good to go!
I'd suggest the Gamestop trade 2 games in for $50 toward La Noire (check the website for eligible games). As for the soundtrack it's an original score to fit popular music in the 1940's.

Unfortunately I think that deal has expired.

I gotta hold off on this game until after I take the SAT. Why does this have to be so close to the SAT test date??

There's 40 unassigned cases, plus the DLC/pre-order cases and hidden collectibles (newspapers, special cars, etc) so it should be around the same amount of time it took to beat GTA/RDR, which was plenty.

A live stream tomorrow would be ****ing awesome.

Lol so does mine. My wife literally never plays videogames so this might be one game where I can convince her to give it a try with me.

I think this game should have a fair amount of replay value as it will be interesting to see what happens when you approach a case from a different angle the 2nd time and to see the outcomes / interactions etc.

You can't study for the SAT anyway so I say game on! Plus problem solving skills in the game may translate to a Harvard acceptance for you

Solving crimes will definitely be better than trying to find a way to study. It's all about exercising that brain, exercising that brain.
