Re: DC Universe Online (PS3/PC)
I love that I can play a quest line that ends in a boss fight and feel awesome winning, then log off and play later.
That grind isn't there as much, each quest line has 4ish outdoor stuff then a fun dungeon to go clear out and defeat the boss.
In that respect, along with the combos and general "action" gameplay, it's way different than WoW (a game I enjoyed, but just wanted a change of pace).
I wasn't expecting much from this, but it's great having a MMO on PS3. I got a quality keyboard for it too, so now I can type lol
I just dinged 20, though I'm out of solo quests. Should I look at police stations or what to find new major quest lines? Or just try an alert?
If your hero was based out of Metropolis go over to Gotham and do all the quests over there. Go to all 3 stations in Metropolis (Chinatown, Midtown & Little Bohemia) and the 2 in Gotham (East End & Diamond District). You should have tons more available still.
You should have a few Alerts listed on your mission list already by 20 (Area 51, Gorilla Isle, Hive) Knock those out as well. Hell I don't need to do them nor do I need anything that drops in those regular alerts if you need help I'd group with you before you Que those up anytime. Those are pretty easy and kinda fun and give some decent items as well.
Good luck!Comment

Re: DC Universe Online (PS3/PC)
There is no way at 20 that you are out of quests, I'm at 30 and have done duos & hard alerts and I still have like 2 or 3 unfinished lvl 29 or 30 quests.

Re: DC Universe Online (PS3/PC)
I'm really starting to enjoy this game. I'm level 15 hero now trying to slowly work my way up to 30. Man this game is hard to put down and with the limited guide I learn something new everytime I play. I'll join in on the fun. My character name is DoubleZero on Birthright and my PSN name is AllniteAce.Comment

Re: DC Universe Online (PS3/PC)
Bought the game a week ago and just dinged Level 21. It is definitely the fastest levelling MMO I have played. I can't help but wish levelling went to Lvl 40 or 50 because I enjoy questing a lot more than Alerts or PVP.Comment

I finally got to level 30 last night, now I need to find a good build for my fire tank and gear up with him. Still liking this game, probably going to start leveling my other characters soon.Comment

Re: DC Universe Online (PS3/PC)
I think what they are doing is waiting until they see the level 30s start to fall off (boredom, etc.) and then they will release some monthly content that will raise the cap. It makes sense.DON'T PANICComment

Re: DC Universe Online (PS3/PC)
I finally played my first Legends PVP and it was fun. 3 Robins and a Batman vs 3 Harley's and I never saw the other player. We won. I made a Wolverine type character, but put him on Redemption by mistake. Any leagues on Redemption?
BTW does the game freeze somewhat often? I have had two freezes in the last few days.DON'T PANICComment

Also found a few more quests in a police station, so back to soloing to 30 (it's fun).
I did an alert (but couldn't complete it) and it was fun. We ended up having a guy drop and we didn't have enough power to take out the Queen Bee at the end, but Alerts seem like a fun road map of quests to do.
We weren't talking or doing anything too team related, but I'm sure on the harder Alerts you need to play smarter. Eventually I'll run some Duo's with you guys at 30, that sounds like a blast, especially when it's not some random.Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment
