Blaziken is a beast! But out of all the generations I feel B&W has the most forgettable starters in my opinion.

But having said that, Gen 2 was the game I got the deepest into in terms of playing and breeding as a kid so I tend to know that Gen extremely well.

Oh btw, when I turned on my HeartGold, I found that I already had started a Water Playthrough (forgot about starting it when I was driving to Quidditch World Cup in November lol.) So I decided to keep that going, considering I was at the Ghost Gym and how much further there is to go in the game.

    Current party:
    Level 32 Totodile
    Level 35 Slowpoke
    Level 33 Wooper

I think I'm gonna hold off on evolving Totodile until it gets Hydro Pump (which I believe is in the 50s, maybe 56?) But other than that, I gotta train up Slowpoke and Wooper for the Fighting and Steel gyms which are up next.
Not a bad water team, I really like Wooper, his evolve form Quagsire (The poor mans Swampert lol) has one of the best types in the game Water/Ground since it has only one weakness which is x4 weak to grass...I think I want to raise one now.

      Why is Mantine a Flying/Water type...and it can't learn Fly? -_-

Is Game Freak trying to troll me or something?

You should raise a Horsea and trade with someone to evolve it to a Kingdra.

Getting a DS Lite in the next few days for 30 bucks, then will be getting HG.
Haven't played a game in a long time so it should be fun.

Hell yeah! I forgot about Kingdra...update time lol. Here's my team going into Blackthorn City:

            Level 40 Totodile
            Level 38 Slowbro
            Level 39 Quagsire
            Level 35 Poliwhirl
Level 32 Gyarados (Which I've decided on dumping once I can get my hands on a Lapras/Horsea. That way I can roll with 5 for awhile, plus I'm not a huge Gyarados fan.)e

I'm on my side adventure to hunt down a Lapras in Union Cave...stupid only on Friday thing, its quite the inconvenience. It made me have to change the date on my DS lol.

Useful Tip: (Don't know if you know this or not) but I found it useful. Starmie/Lapras can learn Thunderbolt/Thunder, via TM. So you can get some Electric attack coverage from some where. I recommend Thunderbolt, as it has much better accuracy and is more reliable.

                LOL
                Did changing it work?
I remember when I tried to do that for D/P and only allowed transferring so many pokemon a day.

Yeah it did work, thank god haha...I woulda flipped out if I had to wait around for it to actually be Friday lol. But after about an hour of grinding with my Lapras against some wild Pokemon...its up to level 32 and just learned Ice Beam. 5/6 parts of my final team are caught, now I just need a Horsea. But I can definitely wait until I find the right one

I've just gotta get it to be a little higher in terms of level so I can double team it and Totodile (Ice Fang) against all those Dragon types in Blackthorn.

                    Re: The Pokemon Thread

So, the story in Black is pretty ****ing awesome. Probably the best story I've played in a Pokemon game.

Just beat both the Elite 4 in HeartGold and Black this weekend. Black is UNBELIEVABLY good. If you're not planning to play it because of the new Pokemon, you're missing out. It's so, so good.

Also, catching Ho-Oh in HG made me suicidal. That **** is nearly impossible. I've never been so close to throwing a portable system at a wall.

Totally agree about the story in Black Dayman, it was really good. Problem was that most of the Pokemon sucked too much to warrant me playing it much deeper than finishing the story, which is saying something for me lol.

And about Ho-Ho in HG, that's where I'm at and I could very well end up throwing my DS through the wall in about 5 minutes :

LOL yes Ho-oh is a pain the in you know what. Him and Lugia in their respectful games ie Ho-oh in HG/G and Lugia in SS/S are probably the hardest legendary pokemon I have even tried to catch (not counting the roaming legends). I will also say Black and white are very good story wise but the pokemon selection is just terrible.

I weighed the pros and cons. Vaporeon has some kick *** moves, later down the road, but I'm in desperate need of an electric Pokemon + I can always get one down the road, sometime

Jolteon has always been my personal favorite, anyways.
