If you turn off the exp share the game will naturally become very difficult without significant grinding down the road. I think this is why the made the exp share optional for those guys looking for beter challenge. however, the game like you said is not aimed to be too difficult. This version in particular seems to be made specifically for the endgame and PVP competition, pokemon collections.

Re: The Pokemon Thread
Only pokemon I've played are blue/red/yellow/FireRed so most of these Pokemon are new to me. I'm just catching ones I already know or ones that look cool. There are some weird ones though.MLB: Texas Rangers

Re: The Pokemon Thread
Sat around with a friend enjoying a few drinks and catching/Wonder Trading for a good two hours, tonight.
I actually got a Ditto in a Wonder Trade, giving up basically nothing. I decided to give it to my friend so he could also breed Pokemon and make things easier on the two of us. I would get something and check with him and see if he had it or not and vise versa. We were both able to build our collection quite a bit and I got some good stuff in Wonder Trades..
I couldn't believe after spending so much time hunting a Ditto and finally getting one from someone here that I got one so randomly.Comment

Re: The Pokemon Thread
Oh I know, I'm just complaining to complain. Lol.
Only shiny I ever caught was a shiny zubat. Lol. Sucks that I can't transfer platinum pokemon over. That's the one I played the most and I have so much stuff on it. From shiny riolu to mew.

Re: The Pokemon Thread
Come christmas you can, if you have B/W or B/W 2. Just Poketransfer (or whatever the gen 5 is called) to Gen 5 game, then use the pokemon bank app.badComment

Poke transfer?
Also thing is in platinum I never got that far into the game. I was having to much fun breeding and just stopped at the daycare. Lol.
I also do not have black/white or black/white 2 anymore.
However if you could and have them I could trade them over to you to transfer over to me. I'm pretty sure I have extra shiny riolu and such to give you as payment.

Re: The Pokemon Thread
This is a title that has had near 2 decades worth of experience and work put into it. Its the epitome of the franchise so far.
If we're talking nostalgia, Pokemon Gold was my favorite. However, this is easily the best pokemon game ever made for me.Comment

Re: The Pokemon Thread
Oh, far and away. It makes all the other ones in the series pale by comparison.
I meant HG/SS-type remake in the sense that... There was SO much to do in those games. Tons of legendaries, Multiple regions, etc.
The sheer amount of stuff to do (and how it was all set-up/gameplay flowed) was amazing. Imagine a game like that (including some of the old regions and stuff) but with the new type of graphics and game mechanics we have now. I sincerely hope that is what's next for the Gen VI games.
One would think some type of Kalos/Sinnoh (or Unova) mixture isn't out of the realm of possibility, at least being able to travel back. Hell even if it were just HG/SS brought into the future (with the new pokemon/graphics/types) I would be extremely amazed by that still.badComment

Re: The Pokemon Thread
Someone needs to get all of the FCs in one post. Can't see signatures on Tapatalk.
And I love this game. Don't know a damn thing about breeding, Dittoing, shinies, or Japanese versions of Pomemon, but I sure as hell can catch and fight.

Re: The Pokemon Thread
The biggest difference for me is they have made catching and acquiring different Pokemon more fun. Back in the day, I was just trying to grind and get through the story and gyms in the game and I typically did, but when I was done there wasn't much desire to go back.
I also usually stuck to using the same Pokemon through most of the game.
Now I'm constantly mixing, evolving, trading, etc.
Current lineup:
- Ghastly
- Delphox
- Raichu
- Ferrothorn
- Swanna
- Skorupi
I got my friend's Haunter so we could evolve it to Gengar and I made an egg with it and hatched a Ghastly. Going to evolve to Haunter and then trade with him so I can see the Mega Gengar for myself. I may not use it after that, but I just want to have it. Again, that's something that's different.. I do things without the intention of really using them to advance in the story.. just because.Comment

Re: The Pokemon Thread
I was just talking generally about original Gold. Not commenting on your HG SS comments. Although I'm waiting for them to release a game that lets you travel through multiple regions again. But I dont think we'll be seeing that anytime soon unfortunately.Oh, far and away. It makes all the other ones in the series pale by comparison.

In other news Im seriously contemplating buying Pokemon X to experience the game all over again. Maybe I'll just start my Y over again.Comment
