Hadn't played for a bit with Zelda and all the other games on the go. Loaded it up to check on things and next thing I knew I was late to class...made 10x more embarrassing because I'm the teacher!

Actually the X and Y show is very good. Great animation and writing so far.

And yes the X and Y game is great. Prob the best ever if you take away the nostalgicness of the first games.

Started the Nuzlocke challenge on a randomized Pokemon Emerald. My starter turned out to be Squirtle with Vital Throw and Camouflage and it also learned Steel Wing, also got lucky and managed not to run into a pokemon on route 103 before getting pokeballs so I could catch a Walrein with Slam, Overheat, Refresh and Solar Beam. Best part about the Walrein: since I randomized held items it came with an exp. share!

Ahhh what? There's a free Celebi? Ok I'm completely lost on everything that's going on... and I just decided yesterday that I will buy Pokemon X or Y...

Does someone feel like catching me up to speed? I havent paid any attention to Pokemon since Diamond and Pearl. I don't even know what the general consensus is on how good Pokemon X/Y are.

I guess more than anything I want to know... how many days is "a few days" for this free trial? How long do I have exactly? Because I'm on vacation and I won't be able to pick up the DS and the game for at least a week or so.

Meh the window was lost for me. I sold my game months ago. Great game, but once you beat it...you beat it. I have no real need to carry my Pokemans from this version down to my children and grandchildren. All my favs were from Red, Yellow, Gold, and Sapphire. And I can't save those guys *tear*

And to me, if you want to do competitive battling it is easier/better on the PC with Pokemon Showdown. Don't have to do all that EV training stuff, just pick who you're using, its moveset/EVs & you're good to go.

The free 30 day pass expires on the 14th. You can still get the Celebi until the end of September, but you'd have to pay the $5/year or whatever it is for PokeBank to get one. Or you could always trade for one, etc. I'm sure there will be tons of them since people figured out how to clone. There's tons of pretty much any legendary floating around.
