2-3 hours...there are times when no awesome games are out that I'll go over a week without gaming.

At the same time, when games like Dragon Age, Borderlands, or Assassin's Creed 2 are out I'll want to play a ton to beat them. Once I get all those hours in though I usually need some down time from overload.

Tough question; it really depends on the games. Right now, there isn't any sports game I'm really feeling. Haven't gotten the new NHL (Not sure if I will either at this point...09 was a solid game but I hardly ever played it...I don't think it'd be worth the investment)

When I had all the time in the world, I played NFL Head Coach easily 5-8 hours a day. Right now, unless I got back into that...I don't know. Nazi Zombies on COD 5 is good...my Tecmo Super Bowl hacks are good for a half hour...maybe 3-4?

If I lived by myself and had no commitments to anything, I'd probably play 10+ hours a day. Hell, I did that for several months way back when I was around 19. I pretty much woke up whenever I woke up, I jumped on the computer right away and played a MUD... I'd play until maybe 1-2 in the morning and then I'd sleep and I'd wake up and do it again. I'd literally sit and watch TV, listen to music, eat, and play this damn game.

I'm pretty sure if life didn't get in the way, I'd do that for the rest of my life. But as it is, life intervened and I don't get to play nearly as much as I'd even like to. There are still some days where I get the day to myself at home, and I can plop on the couch and play from 9AM to 4PM. But those days are rare now; I usually squeeze in maybe an hour a day as it is.

          Is sleeping a commitment?

I chose 4 or 5. A couple games of random sports game, a couple hours of random shooter, that's pretty much enough. With nothing else to do, I see myself as more of a "sit around and watch movies" kind of guy.

If the stomach flu doesn't count as a commitment then that would seriously hinder my playing time.
