      Re: BioShock Infinite

Played for about an hour yesterday and it was hard to pull myself away. Just got to the first combat sections before I had to put it down. I echo what's already being said about taking so much time walking through Colombia just exploring every corner and listening in on every conversation. Definitely strikes the same chord as the original Bioshock by getting you immersed in the world.

Played Bioshock 2 on PS+ and loved it...and I am definitely not a FPS guy...

        Looking forward to it..

Debating on picking this up, but not sure if I should go PS3 or 360. For those who have PS3, does it look as nice as these YouTube (PC) videos? Thanks.

The hype train is sucking me in...again!

This game is a little different than the games I typically play, but I am intrigued by it.

Ok my hour is up & I am craving more...the scenery is amazing..and the combat is awesome...

I haven't been watching previews so I was definitely shocked when I saw what could be done with a grappling hook, lol

I think FPS games are growing on me, but it'd have to be something like this...w/ powers etc.

Going to Best Buy to get this right now.,,

                    Re: BioShock Infinite

Played for 4 hours last night. The atmosphere is, in my opinion, on par with the first Bioshock...which to this day is the best gaming experience I have ever had.

*Note* Play the first Bioshock...at night..in the dark...with your surround sound cranked up. Only way to play.

Columbia is freaking gorgeous. But more than that...the atmosphere..yet again..is what puts this game over the top.

Much like the Fallout series....these guys know that if you want to create a creepy, cool aura around your enviornment...populate it with old early 1900s music.

I also won't spoil it for folks..bu the opening sequence when arriving in Columbia has some of the best audio and music I've seen in a game.

The actual soundtrack is equally awesome.

The gameplay itself is same old Bioshock..which is to say...it's awesome. But it's the whole package that puts this game, and this series...at the "elite" level.

                    Buy the game.

I don't even know what else to say about it that hasn't already been said.

I've got a PS3, so the first BioShock came with Infinite. As a BioShock newbie, there's really no reason to play the original before I play Infinite, right? I've heard so much about Infinite, I want to get to it first.

                          Unless you want to.

Story does not tie in. No relation.

I'm gonna be going the Infinite first route as well and then play the original.

You should play the original Bioshock because it's quite simply the best experience I've ever had with a game....much less best FPS.

And play it in the dark....at night....with surround sound cranked UP!

Your first Big Daddy experience will be memorable.

This game reminds me a lot of one of those dreams you have when you aren't really sure whether it's a dream, or if it's a nightmare.

The game just has a creepy ambiance that is so rare to find in video games without it seeming forced.
