The controller for the 360 is better suited for FPS.

But, I prefer FPS on the PS3. (Killzone 3, Uncharted 2 (3rdPersonShooter), Resistance Series, MAG)

Plus, there are far more idiots with mics on the 360.

If you could use the 360 controller for the PS3 that would be the best of both worlds.

I kind of liked how the PS3 controller felt on the Black Ops demo and I never knew that the R1 button was what you used to fire your weapon. I liked how I could burst fire with it - I tend to sometimes hold that trigger button down on the 360 controller.

If you want you can choose "default flipped" button configuration. Then R2 becomes the trigger and L2 is ADS. That is the way most guys play it on here.

Oh yeah I'm not saying that there aren't idiots on the PS3, you only hear the idiots on the 360 more since everyone has a mic.

I mute everyone all the time anyway. Last night I was playing with a random team and no one one was using a mic (Uncharted 2) against another team that was all playing together with mics. We won 5-0 in Plunder. Mics are overrated most of the time. Unless you are a MLG gamer, which I will never will be.



That is a great option. How do you access that?

I find I play better without a mic as I focus on my play more. To me I get distracted more when trying to listen to everyone.

Online live is faster and more user friendly than PSN.

-On multiplatform games, the sales are almost always greater on the 360, which leads to a greater player base for the games, and one that will last longer.

Yeah I like the 360 controller a lot more also. LIVE is the main reason probably for me though.

Yeah its cool. I thought there was an adaptor to make 360 controller work with the PS3? Or maybe it was the other way around....Or im just nuts.

You're not nuts there is a 360 controller adapter for the PS3. Still haven't got one but I'm considering it.

that is what the permanent mute option is for. I probably have well over 1,000 people muted in all the CoD/Halo games I used to play. I never have to hear them again no matter what game I play in the future.

COD was the worst. Playing with randoms I stopped using the mic.
With friends we'd use the live party system so we only hear those in our party.

You're not nuts there is a 360 controller adapter for the PS3. Still haven't got one but I'm considering it.
