It's fun w/ friends. But w/ Live it is AMAZING!

I personally wouldn't get it w/o Live unless you play w/ 3 other people all the time.

can someone go into detail about the gameplay? what game does it play like?

i know it`s supposed to be an arcade game and not a sim but who cares, it`s fighter combat and the barrel rolls and other moves look so damn cool! i want to pick this bad boy up but can someone explain the gameplay just a little.... you don`t have to write an essay just explain the moves and strategy etc..etc.. or is this a button smasher?

If I had to rate the replay value on the single player then I give it a 6.5. Some of the bosses are hard and their are races that can give you big bucks. Also there a Super hard mode on single player that you have to unlock somehow. Rent Crimson Skies and see how you like it.

The controls are real smooth. The special moves are by pushing in on the right joystick and pushing both joysticks in whatever directions. Combination Left Up and Right Down does a move that makes you turn around. They are all very fluid and easy to use, plus useful.

Each plane has a regular gun that is strong but only shoots straight. Then each plane has a special weapon that varies by plane. Basically your goal is to fly in behind someone and shoot them. The maps are amazing and very open.
