Oh man, so sorry. It's still too fresh in your mind, hard to feel motivated to do anything in a situation like this, but life will eventually go on. Best wishes for you.I’m 51 and I feel I’m starting to lose interest in gaming. My daughter past on Dec 19th and I just don’t have the desire to game. I have played a round or two of TGC19 at various times but nothing else really.
I’m not giving up just yet. Hopefully the desire comes back because I need something to do during these winter months.

39 with 2 kids (2 & 5).
It's hard to get gaming in during the day on weekends but my kids are getting older so I can sneak in a game here or there. The 2 year is still a little demanding but the 5yr old just needs some legos and wifi for her ipad lol.
I work from home most of the time so I'll sneak some gaming in from time-to-time. My kids wake up pretty early (7ish) so I value sleep more than gaming these days.Comment

I'm surprised I never posted in this thread...
Anyway I'm 37 and have two kids, a fifteen year old son who's a huge gamer (Switch and PS4) and a four year old daughter who likes to watch. I still game regularly, really got back into things a little over two years ago with The Witcher 3 after a strong recommendation from a buddy (had tried two previous times to play it) and it has since ruined gaming as I can't suffer even "good" games anymore. I need a strong narrative, good gameplay, and also a means to progress...even if that's on easy mode. I don't have the fast twitch skills, patience, or time to master deep combat systems. I also need good graphics and sound as I'm a fidelity geek.
That being said, I find I am very picky when it comes to games and a name or series history doesn't keep me interested for long. Recent struggles include Red Dead 2, FFXV, and now Kingdom Hearts III. I really enjoyed God of War, but playing that after GoWIII was a stark example of things I could put up with before that are unbearable now (shallow narrative, set-pieces for set-piece sake, guided experiences, collect-a-thons). I tried the remaster of FFX, one of my all time favorites, and while the story notes are still there, the gameplay wasn't. I still ugly cry watching that ending but I wasn't going to suffer decade plus old gameplay for nostalgia. Ditto with the Kingdom Hearts collection, and also why I'm struggling with the new one.
There was a time a few years ago when I thought I'd be done with gaming, and only bought a PS4 package at Costco on a whim for Uncharted 4. Now, as long as strong single player experiences exist that can draw me in narratively, I think I'll keep going.

I’m 49, will be 50 in June.
Married with 2 kids of 15 and 17 yrs old.
Have been gaming as long as I can remember, all the way back to pong!
Still game a few days a week, and will never stop doing it!
Also still read comic books. In my mind I’m still 16.
Have played pretty much all the available systems during the years, and owned quite a few too.
I live in the Netherlands and started playing baseball when I was 7. It was an unknown/unpopular sport then but my neighbors played it so they infected me with the virus, for which I’m still very grateful!
As far as gaming is concerned it was a dark time for baseball lovers.
I remember on each console that I bought, usually at the backside of the box were pictures of all the available games. On all systems pictures of baseball games were printed, but as baseball was almost not heard of, those games simply were not available. So I continued to just stare at them.
Anayway, still play and will continue to do so.
I play strictly offline though as my reflexes are really not a match for the 12 yr olds that play online.
Doesn’t bother me though!

Wow how times change. When I first posted in this thread all was right with the world. Who knew that almost exactly 8 months later my daughter would pass away unexpectedly and then my wife would leave because I was too depressed for her to deal with anymore.
Here we are now and according to Playstation I put almost 1200 hours into MLB The Show!! I have become a more solitary person and still deal with depression but things are ok. I cut the cord from cable as I found that now living alone with no one to answer to I would not just sit in front of the TV watching crap. I am either working, out playing with my dogs, hunting, camping or fishing or I am playing games.I dont play anything online and stick mainly to action, sandbox, rpgs and baseball. 42, married for 21 years with 3 kids. Daughter 17, son 15, and daughter 9. My son is a huge gamer especially COD 4 and fortnite. My youngest has a Switch and loves the Wii.
I have been a gamer my whole life. My gaming time slowed down when my kids were young, but I remember sacrificing sleep at night so I could game. The last few years my gaming time has picked back up, though I still only play every few days. MLB the show is my favorite sports game and I love games like Red Dead, Uncharted, Tomb Raider and an occasional First person shooter. Basically I love a game with a good story.

Minus the racing games I’m the same. I’m finding that as I get older I play team sports games less and less. I think in my younger days, posting dynasty reports here kept me playing. I now have no desire to keep up a full blown dynasty/franchise thread so I play sports games less.

If we got a new NCAA I'd reconsider, but Madden just doesn't hook me enough to warrant buying, and there's no great Xbox baseball game (not paying for a PS4 for just The Show), and otherwise the sports games have been mostly stagnant lately.

Time is another MAJOR factor in sports games getting played less. Main reason why I was doing PTM in Madden 19 before getting back into Bethesda games.
