is there any replay and does the "underground" mode seem like it would take a while to complete?

There is absolutely no kinds of replay. I wish there were because some of the drag racing ends are so close superb you would want to SAVE the replay.

The "Go Underground" mode is very fun, and possibly long lasting if you conserve time with this game. Considering I rented this game Saturday, have to return it at 12:00 noon Thursday, and can only play on non-schoolnights (i.e. usually Friday, Saturday, and Sunday), I have been playing consecutive hours with this game, possibly about 18 hours now.

I'm not sure exactly what tells how far you've done with the game. You have a reputation rating, with about 5 stars, and 10 bars, each 10 bars equals a star. I'm at about my 3rd star and I've gone about 4 bars.

Not to mention you can choose whether you want to play Easy, Medium, or Hard for that race/drift event. Easy is the least rewarding, and Hard is the most rewarding (in terms of money in your bank).

It has lots of value as to how you want to upgrade your car also. You can change paints, add decals and vinyls, change rims, all of the body parts, your headlights and taillights, the neon light on the bottom, NOS upgrades, weight reduction upgrades, fuel system, engines, tires, muffler, hoods, trunks, rooftops, and brakes. That's all from memory because I can't play right now.

I'm keeping the same car I've had since my first trade-in, and I've unlocked so many cars and hadn't used them yet.

I'm going to try to beat it as quick as possible, and I can play it before Thursday because of Thanksgiving break, so I can now play on Wednesday night, but if the reputation thing is what your percentage thing is all about, then I'm just about halfway done.

Online play is okay. No lag, that's a plus. However, so many people are already like 100% done or something because they all have their Mitsubishi Skylines with like perfect engines and extreme performance NOS upgrades, so you either need a GameShark or whatever to beat them. Also, you can only race 1 person, not 3 or anything.

This game is pretty damn good, and if you want to buy it, and if you get bored with games after completing them, conserve your playing time to about an hour or two in Underground mode a day, and... yeah.

I've had a blast with renting it so far... it just depends on how you like these kinds of games.

LOL not exactly a review, just the details in Go Underground mode.

But uh, just so you know, frusteration IS a factor in this game, mainly because you could be racing a 6-lap race, be VERY close to the end, barely in 1st, and then all of the sudden you hit a tree or a car in traffic, and you lose. Trust me, this happens a lot.

Oh, and also my TV is kind of small, so I don't know if that's the problem, but it's sometimes kind of hard to see which way to turn, not to mention is it kind of hard to see anyways because of the slick wet road and its reflections (which gives it a cool look however).

I agree its hard to see because its almost too much detail in the game. Its like 'is that a turn or another neon sign reflecting off the ground'? In drag mode, the screen gets kind of fuzzy and its hard to see the traffic coming up. I think its supposed to be that way-to try to imitate that crazy-fast look. At least you can do a quick restart cause crashing into traffic sometimes is almost inenvitable.

                  Spelled inevitable wrong.

Yeah, that was my problem with the trees and with the traffic. I only crash into them because they are really hard to see, until you well, you meet them.

Also, the CPU cars that you race I think have a "catch-tp" code, because I could be far ahead, still not crashing into anything, taking shortcuts, etc, and they could still very easily be catching up according to your radar. Remember that also. No win is an easy win.

Do you get to keep the cars that you used. Or when you trade in a car you can't get it again unless you trade for it.

Dammit, had to return it about a half-hour ago.

Well, since I played about 30-35 hours, I got 102/111 complete, and that 102 said that I completed all tournaments. I got the Nissan Skyline GTR (which I got about 20 events before this, but still), and I also got to 3 levels of all performance upgrades, and Eddie (or was it Teddy?) gave me another performance upgrade choice, so I chose NOS.

Oh, and just so you know, there are at least 2 races around the 80s or 90s in terms of events where it will take you over 2 hours to complete both (each), even if you are on EASY difficulty. I swear that "catch-up" code is bugging me, because I found out that not only do they catch up so quickly, but I think that the game purposely puts in some traffic where youhave to dodge it, but they can perfectly pass it.

Yeah, pretty damn fun game. Too bad I had to return it...
