Oh, so I can talk about Mass Effect on PS3 now. It's totally the same for the most part, but there is some strangeness...

...long loading times, severe texture pop-in at times, and I had this one time where the framerate dropped so badly that I had to restart.

But my review won't be up 'til later this week. I want to beat the game and see how it connects to ME3 on PS3 before rendering a verdict.

Not good that he's pointing out the negatives first. Quick port job by Bioware?

Could just be my copy...but I just had to return my ps3 MET...multiple freezes and laggy combat on the ME1 disc

I don't know man, hopefully it was just my copy. I restarted multiple times though and the issues persisted. I went ahead and grabbed the 360 version instead just to be safe:
