Re: Destiny
Yes, i get that. I'm not trying to get an economics lecture out of this lol. I'm simply asking if there is any benefit to getting a digital copy outside of not going to the store. I'm not getting why this is a debate. Just asking if there are any incentives (cheaper, a unique bonus, etc). For some people a store isn't 5 minutes away, personally I have to drive 20 miles to the nearest place. For others, that $7.32 (being generous) you get for trading it in in a year is worth the ease of having the game a couple button taps away for something that will be played almost daily.Yankees, Manchester United, Chicago Bears, New York RangersComment

Re: Destiny
at least on PSN it's cheaper due to the lack of tax. Other than that the only benefit is you don't have to worry about taking care of a disc, switching out between games, or anything of that nature. Plus being able to play at the exact time they open the game up is nice, instead of having to wait in lines for a midnight release.Yes, i get that. Re: Destiny
I don't plan on trading Destiny in. But as someone who trades in games on a regular basis, Destiny will almost certainly be worth way more than $7.32, even a year from now. Especially if you catch gamestop in a trade in deal. Take GTA V for example, it's still worth $25 bucks before any promotion. For some people a store isn't 5 minutes away, personally I have to drive 20 miles to the nearest place. The point is; for people who'd rather get some value out of a game they'll never play again (whether it's destiny or any other game) it's worth it to go physical copy for this reason. Until they make an economic incentive to go digital and save some money up front, I will always purchase a physical copy.Comment

Re: Destiny
It is $20+ cheaper for me to buy on the US PSN than to buy locally. I buy everything digital.Comment

I love the convenience. I already have it pre-loaded and don't have to worry about having a disc to play. I am all in on digital now.XBL: Mean Greene

Destiny
I really want to go digital with this game, but I'm having a hard time justifying it.
Best buy gave me a $50 credit for canceling my limited edition pre order. I have gamers club so that pays for the game. But, I could use it on a psn card and get the digital edition that comes with the season pass. Technically, it would only be saving $5 if I went physical then. But best buy is also doing the $10 in rewards for pre ordering so it's more like $15. I might have to do physical for $15.
Digital is just so convenient. If I didn't have gamers club id go digital on more games.Last edited by sbauer318; 09-06-2014, 08:20 AM.Comment

Re: Destiny
Yeah, that's kind of what i was asking and thank you for answering it. I would love to go digital if it gave me something outside of not driving to the store. I'm in Long Island and there is a gamestop almost as often as there is a Starbucks lol.I don't plan on trading Destiny in.
