Person quit early on in a level 20 vanguard viper strike. The last part was really challenging and fun with only two people. Me and Bosnias Rambo were a pretty good team.

      Re: Destiny

Getting really frustrated in the crucible. I'm still holding my weight, but I'm running on 5 straight matches in control trying to complete the bounty for "Winning 3 Crucible matches". I get stuck with a bunch of people just running around aimlessly, and anytime I try to get people to go cap flags, I wind up there by myself trying to fight everyone off while everyone else stands around.

Also, does anyone else feel like the Moon strike mission is poorly designed? Maybe it was since it was our first time trying it, but I felt like we were confined to that one initial room fighting off wave after wave of knights and wizards just to get in a few hits on the big bad, then rinse and repeat.

I'll have to try it again tomorrow.

Moon strike is my favorite so far. You really don't want to get trapped or retreat to that entrance room. Best to stay out in the arena and move around a lot.

Articles about people kinda unhappy about the post-20 experience get me to not want to hop on this game, but then I come back and catch up with a couple pages here and wonder what the hell I was thinking about not picking it up when I'm back home.

              Re: Destiny

Kind of miffed at the "matchmaking". I have no problem loosing a battle when someone hits me first and gets the jump on me. But to melee and/or repeatedly shoot someone in the face, but they happen to have higher gear, can turn and 2 hit me...that's kind of meh.

I'm all for individual characters bringing their progression and gear into the Crucible. But ffs, can there be some kind of system that doesn't put a +22 guy up against my measly level 7? I love the fact you get to work for better gear and it kinda force's you to play other aspects of the game, but that's just not fun. Especially when you clearly should come away with the kill.

I guess soon enough it won't matter once everyone is max level. But I'd planned on only playing the story when my buddy was on, and playing Crucible (the majority) of the other time. Guess that's not happening.

                Re: Destiny

I found the Earth strike mission to be considerably harder than the beta. Of course it doesn't help that my primary weapon is trash. It seems difficult to find decent loot in this game. Everything was considerably trimmed down from the beta, which I don't have a huge problem with, but it seems stupid I am using the same weapon from Level 4 or so (and I'm level 11 now).

Also, I agree the MP matchmaking is nonsense. It is completely random, as far as I can tell. I also find it takes way too long in between matches. Loading/matchmaking needs a streamline of sorts.

                    Destiny Events Inbound

The launch of Destiny marks the beginning of an epic adventure that unfolds over time. To keep you steeped in new challenges and clad in fresh rewards, we have some tricks up our gauntleted sleeves. It’s time to roll them up and share some details about the next missions that will rely on your bravery and your gunfire.

These are only some of the surprises we have planned for you. Very soon, strange characters will arrive in the Tower with special offerings in hand. Public Events will erupt from the skies over your favorite destinations with greater frequency. And, Bungie will enter the fray with some bounties of our own for you to claim – if you can.

                      Re: Destiny

Finally got to invest a good chunk of time into this tonight. Went up from Level 3 to Level 8 or 9 I think. Pretty much did only Crucible today. It definitely takes some getting used to. I ended up having a Semi-Auto gun for long-range and a Fusion Rifle for short range. Finally started to get the hang of it and went like 15/10 my last game of the night.

Also ended up unlocking a Sniper Rifle along with a Full-Auto gun, so I think I'm going to roll with those for now with my warlock. Since the warlock's defense kinda sucks, the sniper rifle should come in major handy so that I'll be able to just hang out on the fringes and pick people off until I get my super and can move in.

Wasn't able to hop on with anybody tonight, but even just playing with strangers in the Control levels was pretty fun.

I am lvl 20 and I have no time to complain. Got to keep playing.

Got to 20 tonight. Kind of disappointed with the whole exploration aspect of the game as there's really no need to other than to find the golden chests. Had fun playing through the game but it left me wanting more. Kind of random, but I wish there was a snow planet.

I love the difficulty of this game. Doing the "hard" option for missions is definitely the way to go. I must have done Devil's Lair 5 times in the Beta and still struggled this time around. Strikes are just so challenging and equally rewarding. I've only done Earth and Moon but man it can get intense.

Maybe it's just me not playing this genre of game before but the enemy AI seems incredible. This game was getting knocked for supposedly being poor in that department. Sure you can learn the tendencies but enemies seemed to react perfectly given the situation.

I just hit lvl 16 with my Warlock. Starting to get some rare (blue) gear and having an absolute blast with the game. Played one match of Crucible (did play a lot in the beta) but am going to keep with the campaign for now.

I got Destiny this afternoon and played for a few hours. I find the game kind of boring, honestly, but I like the upgrade system a lot. If I found this more compelling, I'd probably spend a lot of time trying to soup up my character because of it. As it stands now, though, I'm probably gonna send this one back off to Gamefly tomorrow. Too much good stuff to play currently and on the horizon to try and force myself to like something. It seems like you guys are enjoying this one a lot, so I'm definitely in the minority.
