I love the Cryptic Dragon from Crucible vendor, the 19 shot mag is clutch. I've always been a Scout rifle guy, and was very happy they gave us some love in the patch. I also pretty consistently end up the top half/top 3 in PvP matches. Still, I feel like I'd do better in some situations had I had an auto rifle.

I haven't been lucky enough to get any good weapon drops, especially the Suros. But between Invective (which I'm about to get) and Ice Breaker it'd be tough to keep them all in a rotation.

All I have to say is...VISION OF CONFLUENCE...I was lucky enough to get my dream weapon in the raid last week and I'm obsessed.

If you love scout rifles, you need to grind Raids until you get this.

I'm up for doing it on hard mode.

I am also a 29, well 29 and 3/4 to be exact.

I don't know why a lot of people are so stuck on everyone being a 30. I understand that it's harder than normal, that's a given, but I know several people who have done it at level 29 and survived to talk about it, lol!

Granted, it's probably not a good idea for a team of six 29's to roll up in that beyotch, a few 30's at least is needed. And I even question that. Watched a live stream recently, the host was a 30 and he was helping his viewers through hard mode. At one point he was the only 30 with five 29's. As I recall they only had one or two wipes. So it's very possible to be done with 29's.

With that said, I think what's more important is having fully maxed 300 atk weapons and some knowledge of the raid, tactics, etc....

29s should be able to do the hard raid with no problem. As you pointed out maxed out weapons are a must. I would say experience is a must as everyone should know the ins and outs of the raid.

I would be down for a hard raid later in the week. About to have maxed AE, I'm currently at 288 and I'm working on maxing my thunderlord and Steel Oracle rocket launcher

I'm setting one up Friday night around 9-10 on normal. I need one more.

I should be good to go then. I have the shards to hit 29 for HM, but I'm still holding out for a more desirable exotic helm and/or the raid boots. I guess if I get the boots I'll be fine to hit 30.

I do have the Epilogue and VOC maxed, saving energies to max out an Icebreaker and/or G-horn if I can ever get one or the other. I'll probably end up maxing out the PR sniper this week if Xur doesn't sell either of those.

Another nightfall, another garbage reward. I'm really starting to dislike the loot system for that strike. I "won" the exact MG I was using during the strike. If nothing else, shards/energies should be a minimum reward + the additional loot roll you get (sort of like the daily heroic). Say 5-10 of one or the other.

I agree, the nightfall should come with some guaranteed mats at the least.
