The exotic that was a pain to level, hard to upgrade to exotic, sucked ***, now left behind. Awesome.

Also people were freaking out about how much they wanted the new no backup plans, basically they turned a shotgun kill into melee so it would proc force barrier. They were salivating. Bungie retracted all that, now it just makes force barrier last longer. Lol.

I was so hyped and I am slowly getting more and more irritating with all the things I'm hearing.

Most of the exotics they are bringing forward are the bad ones. Not bringing the MIDA forward? What's the point of that, that was one of the most fun and rewarding guns to use.

They are literally just removing content from the game. What's the point of doing VOG or CE if EVERYTHING it rewards is useless before you even get it.

Bungie always takes 1 step forward and 2 steps back.

VoG/CE weapons aren't useless as soon as you get them. If you're 26 and do VoG, VoC is still great, and for a while.

I hope, at some point, they release lvl 40 versions of VoG and CE with scaled rewards.

And this VoC is still good for VoG, **** that noise. So you are going to grind VoG for the gun, grind for the energies, grind for an etheric light to upgrade it, only for it to not be completely useless? Will it be the best option? No, but you could use it. I could use the ****ing khostov in the vault, that doesn't mean it's not useless. There is no incentive to get, upgrade, and use VoC after TTK, even for the vault.

Yeah its pretty funny how all the underused year one exotics are getting year two love. But the favorites are being left in the dust.

I dont get the decision of bring only some year ones forward and not others. Who decides that? Why does the community have no input on that? Seems so arbitrary. What makes Truth more important than Ghorn or Suros more important to update than Necrocasm? Who makes that call? Seems very fishy to me.

Its almost like they're offended that Thunderlords and Invectives are completely ignored. "So lets reboot them! F that Vex Mythoclas though." Seems obvious that they should update Necro and Vex to keep those raids relevant for the new guys... puzzling.

Has Invective been confirmed as going to year two? I missed that one.

Way I figured it, they want to get rid of some OP weapons, and weapons that break the encounter balance (things like icebreaker regenerating ammo, and super good advice being able to lay down fire on things like oracles). So things like pocket infinity (too much burst damage) and gjallarhorn (too different from normal rockets, very little skill required, too much burst damage, taking away burst damage either makes it not a rocket launcher because of little blast or taking away the exotic bonus of wolfpack).

So, given that thought, the other exotics coming to year two are MIDA, plan c, dragon's breath, and patience and time.

That also leaves off the 3 PoE exotics (they seem to want to dump these raid exotics), and no land beyond (possibly not wanting to keep having step down exotics, meaning exotics in a lower weapon tier? So you can have a fusion rifle heavy, but not a fusion rifle primary).

Assuming my thinking is right, it seems less arbitrary. However, Bungie should have made exotic weapons a focus of a single reveal, and explained why things were going to be left behind and explained the new meta behind the gun design.
