Yeah I think it's only items for your equipped character. All my hunter Engrams (2 so far) have been 310. The one Warlock item was 290. Small sample I know.

Blue prints will stay 280, but if you buy engrams from Xur I believe all those that are to your 300 level character will be 310 light. So we'll see this Friday if my theory is correct.

With my 302 Hunter I got a chrest of alpha lupi come in at 290. Then a Jade Rabit come in it 310, then a 290 monte carlo (my 4rd TTK version now thank you very much you bastard RNGesus!).

Im guessing its all completely random.

That's my experience. I am 2/4 on the 310's.

I must be lucky then, I'm 5/5 getting 310's. But not that lucky because 3 of the 5 have been Starfire Protocols.

So, I haven't done the raid yet. Will probably do it soon (I'm at 292-293 with all my chars, so it's almost time). Quick question, which class/subclass is the most important to have. Since I have all 3, I may as well use the one in most demand.

Nightstalker up to Oryx, then a celestial nighthawk/golden gun does 25,000-33,000 damage when you are trying to stagger him. Which basically means on of those and you stagger him. Trip mines can be useful for add control also.

For warlock if you're "good" and don't die them stromcaller is great for add control otherwise sunsinger is useful as are their grenades.

Having a good sniper (for ogres) and a good machine gun for Oryx are probably the most important. Been trying to help people and it's no fun having a guy with a shotgun who's ogre is always in the middle of the fight.

That's the big reason I've held off. I had a hard time getting a good sniper. I now have a 295 eirene rr4 which has a huge impact. Also just got stillpiercer. Only machine guns I have so far are the diluvian and the variable.

I just dismantled my only good shot gun by mistake. Thought I was looking at my out of date hand cannon for some reason. UGh..

Anyone else ever do that or am I the only idiot out there?

I lock everything I like for that very reason.

Anyone else get more excited for Armsday than Weekly Reset no? I'll get Tlaloc this week, and get close to ace of spades and the Auto rifle. I'll need the fusion rifles on my titan and hunter to get those this week.

been trying to get through the raid at least once, but having poor luck with LFG today.
did finally get in a group that was able to beat Golgoroth. got a chest piece, but only a 300 light one. then everyone started leaving.

got the chest in the following puzzle, didn't get anything but shards.

currently at Daughters, killed one and got the other to just a sliver, but failed to finish her off. then people started leaving.

We haven't been having much luck either, there is one in our group I have zero confidence in and he makes others not play up to par and all told makes the group not focused enough to do the more difficult parts (daughters and Oryx). We have a replacement but it is going to be a while before he's able to run.

I know a guy like that. He's just not very good, always the first to die, and has trouble understanding mechanics and staying focused. Another good friend of mine (like, real life close friend) always wants to invite him to stuff and I have to be a dick and say no at this point. Did Vault of Glass with him once, and I think we beat it, but it was my hardest VOG run since probably my first hard mode. I won't even bring him into nightfalls anymore. It's easier to solo them.

Nothing makes me appreciate my raid group more than having to LFG to raid. Some people just dont have the chops to raid. Crota was a raid where you could carry (really could carry 4 people through it). This one requires coordination and execution. Frustrating when guys die to random stuff and its "oh my bad guys I dont know what happened".

Just did Oryx with some guys and this one warlock just couldnt survive the Vessell Knight part. I mean of all the moments to die in that fight he just couldnt survive killing the knight who isnt even aggro on the group.....man. Kudos to bungie for the raid though. I like that everyone needs to do their part. Even if it can be frustrating.

For sure. I'm definitely getting Ace of Spades this Wednesday, and I'll be close to Tlaloc. Lagging behind with my Titan, but I'll at least hit rank 2 and snag the Immobius.

I briefly used it yesterday. That shotgun is awesome.

I really hope at some point they make 280+ light versions of VoG, Crota, and PoE. I really want to do stuff like have 3 titans with bubbles and immobius wreck Skolas.

I'd actually prefer that they leave the old stuff in the past. The stuff from the old raids (especially VoG) were great but if everyone could just keep using their awesome, old stuff there'd be no reason for them to try anything new. Look at what happened with Gally.

I was originally upset about losing some of my old favorites, but now that I play with the new weapons I understand why they made the change.
