Did the Golgoroth challenge, and in one instance took my light from 307 to 312. Got a 320 chest, 320 boots, 320 artifact, and 310 arms. Not a bad haul by any means. Still need a raid helm, better ghost, and better weapons, but this was the first bit of hard mode I've done.
Haven't tried the racing nonsense yet, though I guess I should. Evidently it is generous with the exotics?Comment

If you use 3 of coins, it's as generous as strikes. I got 4 in the first day.

They're definetly going to have to nerf the drop rate on helmets. I've already gotten 4 helmets and 2 class items today, all between 313 and 316. Not complaining, as I will continue farming helmets while I can (no hard mode helmets yet, for me). But I absolutely see that getting scaled back. I'm not even finishing races anymore.

Did the Nightfall (easiest one in year 2 so far, it was a breeze) and finally got a treads upon stars on the second run. Then got another one on the third run. Guy I was playing with got upset he got a horn kit until it gave him a sparrow. I don't get why people are getting upset getting that or emotes; I'd love to get that as a nightfall reward. Beats a Warlock clock I immediately break down.
Oryx Challenge is apparently confirmed to be detonating 16 orbs at once. Pretty much your first 3 rotations, you kill ogres, vessel, and knights (no knights on normal), stagger Oryx, and just not detonate any bombs. So no knight strat is out. On the plus side, the artillery stage doesn't come up, and that was easily my least favorite part.

A buddy of mine had a guy drop out at Oryx, so I joined in, and it was. In fact, I think this is the best way to do Oryx in general. We got it 2nd try. You don't have to worry about the artillery or people not getting back to the aura on time detonating, the spots where people die the most. It was super smooth.

Lol a few no knight strat guys are pissed. I know one guy n y friends list thats refusing to do the challenge because of it.
We wont be playing with his groups. Im not ready for hard mode anyway...HELLO BROOKYLN.

This is the part that I plan to enjoy the most. I know a few guys that are still in the "No Knight Strat" group. They are the ones I want to watch because in all honesty its not hard to kill your ogre and knights. Especially if you are on the first or second ogre.Moderator

I had tried the normal strat before, and always struggled. Lately, hadn't been having problems with no knight. But I still had no problem today. Granted, last time I tried "legit" I was probably 313 and this time I was 318. Makes a huge difference.

My group tried to do the Oryx challenge last night, but ended up stopping because we would keep running into a weird bug where one of the Ogres would randomly teleport really far away from the other blights as it was dying.Comment

kept happening to us as well, ogre would be nearly dead and teleport to the center.Comment

Never had that problem myself, but have heard of it. Try using a hunter as a floater instead of a second titan. If they put on predator and quiver and tether pools 2-4 as ogres slam, not only do the ogres go down faster than with double bubbles, the tether keeps them from moving and, presumably, teleporting.
