Speaking of mutagens... I can't find any red ones. Anyone have luck with finding red mutagens? I didn't know what I was doing early on, but I've been upgrading my red (attack stuff).

Re: The Witcher 3
After going on a nice run and not dying for a long time on the third highest difficulty, I finally met my match at the hands of the games most deadly adversary.

Re: The Witcher 3
Does anyone know the correct order to play the side quests in White Orchard? I found out that if not done at the right time or not in a certain order, you'll end up missing the quest completely as it simply won't appear. If anyone could help me, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.Last edited by Kramer5150; 05-26-2015, 12:26 AM.People are for reviews if it backs their argument, and against them when they don't.“I believe the game is designed to reward the ones who hit the hardest – If you can’t take it, you shouldn’t play!” Jack Lambert“Quarterbacks should wear dresses.” Jack LambertComment

Re: The Witcher 3
Uh oh.
I just read about a game-halting cross-platform bug for the Pyres Of Novigrad main quest. I guess a lever you need to pull or door you need to open in the basement of the level can't be interacted with.
Apparently it's non-reversible even when loading a previous save.
I'm nowhere near that quest but now part of me wants to advance there to see if I'm just prolonging the inevitable. Has anyone experienced this or progressed beyond that point at all?
Anyway, I'm backing up to USB tonight for sure just to be safe. Though apparently this method won't fix this specific bug.People are for reviews if it backs their argument, and against them when they don't.“I believe the game is designed to reward the ones who hit the hardest – If you can’t take it, you shouldn’t play!” Jack Lambert“Quarterbacks should wear dresses.” Jack LambertComment

Re: The Witcher 3
I know for sure that the three treasure hunt quests are tied together because there's a note you're supposed to read in order to start the Dirty Funds quest but instead of it going into the quest items slot, it went into the second slot where the books are stored.
Hopefully, I won't have any problems tomorrow since I bookmarked the walkthrough video and will do it in the same order as that user did.
Those who have been playing here and on neogaf have been saying that nearly all of the side quests have been good or better which is why I want to make sure im able to access them all and complete them.Comment

Re: The Witcher 3
I had a great session tonight. Cleared a lot of side missions and contracts.
I was rolling until I got to the swamp thing contract and found the monster. He killed me in 3 hits and I figured it was a good place to stop for the night.
Any tips on him? I'm well geared am decent at the game but he seemed tough, maybe I'm just tired tho. The bestiary page just says he can't be slowed with yrden and his attacks can't be blocked."Successful people do not celebrate in the adversity or misfortune of others."

Re: The Witcher 3
End of Bloody Baron questline spoiler
SpoilerI killed it. I felt like I had been tricked earlier in the game with the Towerful or Mice quest (I let Annabelle out and I guess she kills an entire village or something). I thought about how the tree had been tormenting the locals, I I figure the tree spirit is probably as evil as the witches.
I don't have a guide but I need to buy one immediately. Part of me would like to know the consequences of each choice but I guess that's part of the fun of playing a game like this, I just need to convince myself that there are no bad choices, just choices. I can always do it the opposite way in a second play through
Spoiler
The whole Gran and Ladies of the Wood (pause) angle made me uneasy of them. Plus, Geralt has a knack of avoiding unnecessary killing in my game and I decided to free the tree spirit.
I'm not sure if anything differs with the town, but the tree spirit becomes Black Beauty (literally) and frees the children on the bog. I could tell by the conversation that the Ladies of the Wood were displeased with my decision and keep Gran/Anna Stranger in the bog (I'm not sure if you can take her back to the Baron or not?).
The fallout with Anna and Baron is...yeah. Certainly worth going back and changing your decision.
I love the ripple effect of these decisions - it makes games like Mass Effect seem silly with such obvious decision baiting. Here, however, you simply continue on with the dialogue in a natural way and things just happen. A lot of "oh, damn" moments so far.
Where is the Towerful of Mice quest/contract?
I just got up to level 11 and have collected the same Griffin School armor pieces and diagrams. I just need to find an appropriate leveled blacksmith so I can get the blades.

Anyone else having a problem creating Grapeshot bombs ?
I crafted two earlier in the game.
Now when I try to craft them It tells me I all ready have them, but when I look at my inventory it shows Grapeshot 0/2. Am I missing something here ?Comment

Re: The Witcher 3
You have to meditate in order to refill potions and bombs. As long as you have enough alcohol on you you should be able to refill your inventory.
Also, swallow = health potion.

Re: The Witcher 3
Have had this game since release, I've played it atleast once a day since(a few very long sessions here and there). This game is amazing. Already level 20. Gwent is fun. Graphics are beautiful. Combat is solid. Only thing I'm not feeling is the heap load of crap you carry throughout the game that takes up too much inventory weight even at 160kg limit I only have like 2kg left to spare. Bout to go a **** load of junk onto the loan shark and buy his florens.Comment
