Re: Battlefield 1942 vs Call of Duty

Call of Duty is basically a game of infantry (to put it in one word).

BF1942 is the most amazing online game I have ever played, including Call of Duty. Not only that, but there are several mods available, that allow you to play BF1942 in a Vietnam War scenario, or Dessert STorm type scenario. Simply an amazing game. I like Call of Duty a lot , but it doesn't hold a candle to BF1942 online.

I've still got BF1942, maybe we could get a game going if enough people have it...it'd be fun, haven't played it in a while

I actually just got BF 1942 a little while ago when I got a new computer that could handle it.

Amazing game. I had been wanting to play it for over a year, and jesus had I been missing out. It is definitely the best online game I have ever played.

For those who haven't yet, you must download the latest Desert Combat mod. Playing "Basrah Nights" online is great. I still can't fly the choppers in DC worth a damn, though.

The only thing I can't handle about BF1942 is that you can't use a gamepad. Consoles have me screwed up to where I can't do games with a keyboard and mouse. You can configure everything in BF except the look up/look down, and that makes it impossible for me to play. I would be extremely happy if someone knows of something I'm missing. Halo has a controller set for look up/down, but I can't find one in BF anywhere. Am I missing something?

                              Great game.
