Re: The Division (Xbone/PS4/PC)
Just in case anybody misses this part as well....
Agents, get ready to enter the brink one last time before launch! You will be able to experience Tom Clancy’s The Division one last time before launch in an Open Beta starting February 18. Everyone will be able to play for free and without any restrictions, during the following period:
- Xbox One owners will get a 24-hour early access, starting February 18.
- PS4 & PC players will be able to join in on February 19.
- The Open Beta will run through February 21, end of the day.
This Open Beta is an invitation to all agents to get one final taste of the game before the official launch on March 8.
Added to the content already seen in the Closed Beta, the Open Beta will include an all new story mission for players to explore in their pursuit to take back New York.
As a thank you, everyone who participates will be rewarded with a special in-game reward which will unlock for players when the full game is released.People are for reviews if it backs their argument, and against them when they don't.“I believe the game is designed to reward the ones who hit the hardest – If you can’t take it, you shouldn’t play!” Jack Lambert“Quarterbacks should wear dresses.” Jack LambertComment

Re: The Division (Xbone/PS4/PC)
Assuming we can use same beta game download?

Re: The Division (Xbone/PS4/PC)
Pretty sure it will be a fresh download, as the upcoming beta will have an additional campaign mission in it and is most likely a later version of the game than the closed beta.

Hmmm, it says "without restrictions", what could that possibly mean? Higher level advancement this time? Maybe crafting is unlocked this time? Soooooo many questions! LolThe open beta is no longer "hearsay"........

Not sure, but to be on the safe side I went ahead and deleted the closed beta client and will just download it whatever they have up for this beta.

Re: The Division (Xbone/PS4/PC)
I'm going to check out the Ubi forums,as I've read that the Beta was nothing more than a "patched" up Alpha,so not sure if this will be the same or not.
I would think that you could keep the same Beta download, and that Ubi would merely "patch" this Beta version with the open version.
I'm not 100% sure on this...I will check it out and see if I can get some kind of confirmation either way.People are for reviews if it backs their argument, and against them when they don't.“I believe the game is designed to reward the ones who hit the hardest – If you can’t take it, you shouldn’t play!” Jack Lambert“Quarterbacks should wear dresses.” Jack LambertComment

Re: The Division (Xbone/PS4/PC)
OK guys, got confirmation from the community manager at Ubisoft. This part was in his thread that he has started for the open beta, and was actually one of the questions.
Some answers to your questions:
Will I need to redownload the beta if I have the Closed Beta installed?
No, you'll be able to download a small update and be set to play in the Open Beta.
Will my progress from Closed Beta still be there?
This is not likely, you will normally have to restart. Your Open Beta progress will also not carry over to the main game.
Can I pre-load the Beta?
Yes, pre-load will start on February 16th!

Re: The Division (Xbone/PS4/PC)
Not official by any means but on Reddit there is a Q&A fact sheet for the open beta and this suggests that the previous beta download will be patched to make it playable.I'm going to check out the Ubi forums,as I've read that the Beta was nothing more than a "patched" up Alpha,so not sure if this will be the same or not.
