Half Life is so old that you can get it for less than $15. Id suggest grabbing it up in a bargin bin somewhere, but dont pass on a game like Rainbow Six 3 for it.

I loved Raimbow Six, but that game cant even compare for the multitude of mods it has avaiable in Halflife. Remember, he said he wanted to play online. Halflife has been running strong online for almost 5 years. Plus all the mods they are making will keep hat games replay value on top.

Its still a 6 year old game. I wouldnt pass on Rainbow Six (I only play it online also) for a game that can be had for around $10. I loved Halflife (6 years ago) but I havent played a mod that entertained me in quite some time.

Graphik, I've done my share of research on HalfLife over the years, I just don't know if I should go spend money on a game that's so old .. cuz I don't know how many people still actually play it ..

CounterStrike is a game I've always wanted to play, btw.

Graphik - do you play HL online?

I have'nt played it since last summer. I used ot always play day of Defeat or Counterstrike. Its was new and diffrent mods that were being worked on such as this RPG someone was making and James Bond's Goldeneye for N64.

As for RS3, I'm not gonna say Counterstrike closely resembles the gameplay of RS3 but you'll get the same satisfaction out of it. Plus Halflife triple pack only cost 20 bucks.........2 years ago. Thats Halflife, Counterstrike(which you can download for free if you only have halflife) and some other disc. I can pretty much garantee that ppl are playing it now. It was over 100,000 ppl playing in the summer, I'm sure that has'nt changed.

I've had GR, RS, and played CounterStrike. I'd easily say Rainbow Six is the most fun I've had with a online shooter in a long time. Voice Chat on XBL just adds something to the game itself, Ghost Recon is more open field, If you like close quarter, hearing people's last words then you gotta go Rainbow Six.
