Its common sense, if this going next generation console then it will have a hard drive!! There were no known problem with the hard drive with the current hard drive..

Go read some older threads about this. I have a few reason that would help MS make $ as to why it should not have a HD.. and recently MS confirmed one of my ideas was going to go live soon on XBL(remote storage).

Also, there are inherent problems with HDs - On average they die after around 5 years since they have moving parts.
