    Scripted actor game chat again!?
Just like the Division lol, graphically looked pretty bad.

Came away extremely underwhelmed from the ubisoft E3 showing.

I agree. Game is definitely on my radar but what I saw didn't wow me

Finally got a chance to watch the E3 video. Wow as much as I was looking forward to this game its now the exact opposite. Looked very clunky and basically a Division in a different setting.

While the division is good and its not gameplay that kills that game for me I was looking for Wildlands to be something more. Back to the old days of the original ghost recon and something a bit more realistic of a shooter. Living through two soldiers opening up on the player exposed in the open is not exactly what I was looking for from this game. Still will probably pick up because like I said the Division was fun to play but fairly certain this won't end up being what I was looking for.

Even though I keep seeing Division comments I'll say this

If anything the Division copied Ghost Recon, because alot of the game mechanics, guns, cover system, etc were taken from Ghost Recon

Secondly of course they're going to share assets in their shooters.

Ghost Recon is it's own game though, and always has been. That much is true, but the copying is the other way around from what's being said.

Completely agree on the mechanics of the game. That's not what I mean by a Divison in a different setting. Ghost Recon had its own style that was created by the reliance on tactical setup and execution since rounds had realistic impact. Nothing about the wildlands video showed an emphasis on tactics and execution. If anything it was the exact opposite. Much like the Division blitz in and start firing. Beginning with the player exposing himself for a headshot when surrounded by enemies. Highlighted by the guy standing in the open at the bottom of the stairs, getting opened up on and just running away. Division copied the mechanics and even perfected them but it copied nothing of the playstyle of GR2

I dont think Ghost will ever be like that again. Although I did like their uniform cloaks in the last one, that would've been more appropriate.

With this particular one, you don't have to approach the mission the way they did it, it's just an option if you choose to do it that way. I remember them citing you could do pure stealth or guns blazing on missions, day or night if im not mistaken.

Also they said Ghost would never be exactly the same again because of where COD has taken shooters, adding QTE's and crap in the last was an example.

Like I said, the elimination of 16 man Co-op is one unique thing they disbanded for life.

I loved the video! Looks really fun to me!

But I can still play this solo, correct?

I was still holding out hope.

As I said I'm still buying and will more than likely have a ton of fun with it. I was just really hoping they would go against the commercial shooter of COD and try the old school. Was basically hoping for an ARMA lite on console but that was a very unrealistic wish from a revenue standpoint.

Definitely not going digital on this game like I did with the Division.

Lesson learned and to top it off this shouldn't have been shown as it stands now to be honest. They probably lost pre orders instead of gaining them with that.

All that being said, I still plan on getting this game.

I did enjoy this one as well. Flashpoint was a blast to play at long range.

Enojyed Flashpoint as well until the teamwork aspect of online gaming went to the wayside in favor of

Yep, you gussed it. The look at my score, im da boss COD crowd.

GR will always remain one of my favorites, even if it has been watered down.

Yup.. Great game with an outstanding campaign and expansion. And so anyone doesn't get confused we're talking about the original Operation Flashpoint Cold War Crisis/Elite from Bohemia (devs of the Arma series).. not the bastardized versions Dragon Rising and Red River from Codemasters.

Have you played any of the Hidden & Dangerous series ?

I'm playing 2 now and it's giving me some serious OFP vibes.. as far as the tactical nature, realism/intensity, great campaign design and mission variety too.
