    Drug Dealing: The Game

If this game ever sees the light of day, I sure hope 10 year olds aren't playing it.

I see no purpose in a game like this.

If this game comes out, how long before we see a game where you get to control a rapist and rape women?

Haha, reminds me of a drug dealing game we had on our calculators in middle school. Drug Wars or something like that. I'm sure someone will pick up the game to be made on a console, people love contraversy, and if the game is making news now, it's going to make a lot more if it's actually made.

        Re: Drug Dealing: The Game

If we're going to go the morality route, what's the difference between that and Grand Theft Auto? You're still talking about some flagrant law violations, and you beat the snot out of women in that too.

Why is a drug dealing game any different?

        <edit - I hadn't read the article yet>I see that's exactly what they're thinking...

Drug Wars. Yes, I remember that game. Where you had to buy drugs and sell it around the streets for profit. It was based in Chicago as well. I think you can still DL the game free on the net still.

EDIT: Yep, found it right here. Looks like a updated, newer version though.

I'm sure people that would argue against the Drug Dealing game would do the same thing for the GTA series.

I remember there was an incident in the US last year where a couple of kids fired a gun at a few people (don't remember if they killed anybody or not) and said they did it because they played GTA.

I just wonder how far will videogames go? Is there ever going to be a child molester game, where I can go around and find 10 year old boys and girls and have sex with them? Where do we draw the line?

Why the hell would anyone want to play a game where you rape kids? All you're doing is selling drugs, that's not comparable to raping a little kid. Video games don't force people to do things, stupid people do stupid things. If they can be "forced" to do something because they did it in a video game then they were already crazy.

Sure videogames don't force people to do stupid things but it does have an influence.

Just look at the GTA related shooting or the kid in the UK that killed somebody after playing Manhunt.

                        Kids are easily influenced.

Ummmmmmmm, no. I'm 16 and I nor any of my friends have felt the urge to kill somebody because we saw a character do it in a video game. I'm not even a big fan of gta so that doesn't matter to me. People always have to find something to blame their problems on so they look to what's readily accessible. If anyone is dumb enough to take cues from a video game on how to go about life then they need to be locked up because obviously they already had some problems before they started playing the game.
