Yea my local Gamestop did the free food and drinks thing when they sold GTA:San Andreas, and I expect a bigger party when the 360 ships.

take a close look at that logo.... it looks like there are the numbers 1-4 surrounding it....do yopu think the logo itself could possibly be some sort of button?

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

When I first saw the logo I thought it resembled some type of "roller ball". Not sure how or what it would be used for though? Seems pretty small for that purpose.

Almost certainly a MAC address. You can have four controllers on your current XBOX and they can all be exaclty the same. The Box knows who has controller 1 based on what port its plugged into (or what port the wireless reciever is plugged into). If there are no controller ports then the box needs some what to tell who had controller one.

On a side note a wonder what happens if there are two controllers being used with the same address. Does it somehow ignore one or is it similar to what happens if you give a game two conficting commands by pushing two buttons at once.

Good point. It's probably a way to tell the Xbox which controller you're using.

There shouldn't be duplicate MAC addresses though. Each piece of hardware should have it's own MAC/Hardware address.

possibly the line in the logo connected to each number lights up to tell you which controller you are holding

I hope it's all wireless. Even the headset. No wires anywhere!

That's the one thing that I want. After using wireless controllers I can't stand having wires all over the place, hopefully the battery life won't be an issue though. The logitech ones only last for about 50-75 hours(depending on if you have the rumble on or not).

They should have some type of rechargeable battery for wireless controllers.

Well...from the pics it looks like the headset has no wires, but it could just be a demo model?

ok so i found this picture on an xbox site... looks like it fits into the bottom of the controller... i wonder if that means you plug the controller into a usb port on the system for it to charge?
