This will be my family's first Christmas together (My fiance and I have custody of my younger brothers since my dad committed suicide and my mom was deemed unfit), so we're going to enjoy the first stress-free Christmas for as long as I can remember. It'll be just the four of us.

Looking forward to seeing my brothers' faces when they open their gifts. It'll be the first time they really have gifts, so my fiance and I went the extra mile to make it special.

Christmas Day, we go see the in-laws, who always host a dinner with like 50 people (they're Greek, 'nuf said). Should be good.

How can anyone possibly follow this up?

You plan on fitting in saving a family from a burning apartment sometime between lunch and dinner too?

Celebrating Xmas with Dad and Stepmom tonight, Xmas Eve with my Moms side of the family, and Xmas Day with the wife and kids, then off to Lampassas for the in-laws. Got the 4 year old his first bike, and my personal favorite...a 20th anniversary die cast metal Optimus Prime! I may still keep that for me! j/k

I honestly believe anyone in my shoes would have done the same. My life story sucks quite a bit up until this past June (dad's death) but has been pretty damn good since then. I think it will only get better from here on out, and the four of us are looking at this Christmas as a turn-the-page kind of moment.

I could probably write a few hundred words on the happenings in my life, and when I look back, it looks like something out of a movie script. Needless to say, I'm looking forward to some "un-eventfullness" for some time. I feel like I'm 24 going on 44 at times.

I think you SHOULD keep it. Your child is too young to appreciate one of the most underrated cartoon characters ever.

Going to my parents with my girlfriend to celebrate with them, my sister, her husband and my niece and nephew. The best part is watching my niece and nephew open up their gifts.

Christmas morning at my dad's side of the family. Then Christmas afternoon at my mom's side of the family. Then Christmas night at home with just the 5 of us.

Xmas Eve am going to a family friend's house

Xmas am going to my cousin and see the family including my Godchild

Boxing Day I think my family is entertaining everyone.

Christmas eve we always go to my aunts house for some turkey dinner, 20 years straight and hopefully continues for along time.

Then Christmas night me and the rest of the cousins go "Drunken Christmas Bowling" Something we started 3 years ago and hope it continues for awhile aswell lol.

My mother is coming down tomorrow and we'll have dinner at the in-law's tomorrow night. Christmas day we are going to my wife's aunt's house for the day, then watching Dallas beat Philly.

I'll be giving my girlfriend her gift tomorrow, before my relatives get here. Then hanging out, football, hopefully watching Jacksonville win. Maybe we'll see a movie (Happyness or Marshall) and then I won't be able to sleep. I'll get my mom up at 3 am to go check out my stocking (I'm a kid at heart) and then seeing everyone open up their presents. I asked for a lot less from everyone because I felt like I was getting way too much. Hopefully everyone else gets a bit more because I said I wanted less. I am an only child and there are some times I wish I wasn't, because my mom straight up spoils me, and she continues to do so.

Oh well. I just want my family to be here so I can be around them one more time this year. I don't get to see them enough, and everyone's getting older and things will change before I can even think about life.

I'm back in New Orleans for the first time since Katrina visiting my dad and the rest of my family. I really didn't realize how bad everything is here until I got here.

It does look strange there.... the westbank looks somewhat normal but on the east bank its like a small war took place and only a few people made it.... out alive


I bought my wife a new car today 2007 Altima so we will probably drive down and visit after I get off work. Yes asshats cant do with out there cable and hooking up there new TVs so I will be at work talking to people who refuse to read directions
