                                            My cousin, who is a graduate of VT and still lives in Blacksburg has been trying to keep me updated when he can get a text message out. This is absolutely appaling.

                                                        When I started attending college, I always thought about how unsafe it really is.

                                                        I don't know how it is at bigger schools, but at UW-Whitewater people can just walk in and out of the buildings at their own will. Visitors don't have to check in or anything. No police or security anywhere around. Hell, our dorms weren't even locked up until Fall 2005.

                                                        Any crazy person could walk into one of the academic buildings and open fire on classroom after classroom and end up killing alot of people before they're finally stopped.

                                                        I know it'll cause alot of inconvenience, but something needs to be changed. It's just too easy.

                                                        At any rate, best wishes go out to everyone involved in the matter. It's a sad story.
