TurboTax. It's free and easy to do. I'm sure I'll owe this year as well. I opened another Roth IRA so I'll have to pay taxes on that.

I buy Turbo Tax and it's awesome...I know I'm capable of doing taxes by hand myself, but do you know how painfully annoying that ish is? I love that TT remembers my past taxes, will figure out me moving, having 2 jobs this calendar year, different states, etc.

TurboTax. I've only had to do taxes once, but I'm sure I'll have to do it again this year.

I also do it for everyone in my house and get reimbursed for being the middle-man. Life is good.

A corporate accountant... he does my business and personal taxes. Costs a pretty penny but well worth it for me.

I believe it depends on how you want to file and if you are filing any special forms. If you are just taking the standard deductions and not filing anything else, just use the online free TurboTax version.

I can tell you for sure after using turbo tax, that you can get a better chance of a refund or at least reduce what you may owe by going to a tax guy.

I have a stupid question and Im probably confused because its late but its bugging me so I will ask. When you start a new job and you claim Single and 0 do you normally get more money back during tax season and less on each check then you would if you set it up as Single and 1? I knew this at one point but after reading replys around the web Im starting to think I was wrong. Hopefully that all made sense, Im trying to gauge how much someone is going to get and since I always have it as Single and 1 I cant count on past examples.

EDIT- In case this is confusing, my basic question is, if you claim Single and 0 are you in essence getting the most amount of taxes taken out of your check or the least?

That is if you only input information without knowing what to look for.

I've used TT for 4-5 years now and once took it to a CPA to look over for me. He wasn't able to get anymore money so I don't bother with them anymore.

I use taxactonline. Works like Turbo Tax, but is cheaper. I've used it the past two years without a problem.

I'm about to take the CPA exam, so I just do them myself. If you guys have any questions, I'd be glad to try and help people. I likely couldn't answer any questions TurboTax couldn't cover, but I have research tools available online for school.

I can assure you all that a tax professional will get you a better return than TurboTax as your return gets more complex.

I use Jackson Hewitt. I have been going to them for the last 5-6 years. They have done a good job. I have no complaints. I have not received my W2 from my job yet. I usually file in February or early March at the latest.

I got my W2 but my wife hasn't yet. We both claim 0 and got married this year, so I have really no idea what to expect as far as a return. Hopefully a big one since we're looking to buy a house this year and it would sure help out.
