    Would you play this game?

    Hey all, I'm attempting to get this game published and I have one interested party taking a look. I'm trying to get an informal poll here if this would be something you'd purchase/play. I know a lot of you guys are in your 20's, but we have a good mix here. The basic idea of the game is to have a teammate phonetically utter a phrase on a card from a category into a special recording device, but BACKWARDS. The device can then, replay the recorded phrase in reverse, therefore, having it attempt to sound normal. Once teammates guess, within the time frame, what you could possibly be saying, spaces or points or whatever is awarded until one team is the winner.

    I don't currently have a working model, only this virtual one, but you can sort of reproduce the effect if you have "sound recorder" installed or available on your PC. In the sound recorder program, there's a tab with a "reverse" option. If you have a microphone, you can pick any phrase and try it with this. It's pretty easy.....well, to try. But, it can be tough to do!

      Sounds interesting. It sounds like it would be fun at a party or something, but I will wait until the details are ironed out.

          Well, I do have a lot of the details spelled out, but I didn't want to boar anyone here with them. It's basically a linguistic game. The jist is that you can't simply pronounce words backwards as they are spelled, you have to do it phonetically. The fun would come in listening to each other attempt this whether you nail it or not. The game board could be set up to be perpetual (like Monopoly), therefore constantly moving around the board until one team amasses a certain number of points, or it could be finite (like Life or Sorry) race to the finish line. It can also be as difficult or easy as possible, which would also appeal to different age groups to play at the same time. So for example, the phrase to attempt saying backwards on the card could be something like: "Mormon Tabernacle Choir", but if you're a youth, you may only be required to say "Mormon" or "choir"....something like that.
