Home Run Inn Pizza. 'nuff said. Got to have it whenever I go to Chicago.

Home Run Inn and Connie's are both great, but neither are "budget foods".

This local Chinese place's lunch specials are great. An entree, rice (white or fried), and an eggroll for $5.40! I get sesame chicken w/ broccoli, made extra spicy with white rice.

5 dollar footlongs are also great!

Little Caesars has actually been making a comeback as of late. It's the #4 chain in the U.S. and really not that far behind Papa John's in sales and units. From 2005 to 2006, it had a 7.3% increase in units and a 6.4% increase in sales. Then from 06 to 07, the most recent reportings, it had a 9.6% sales increase.

So, yeah... little Caesars is still around and still kicking.

I really think it's the $5, ready when you walk in pizzas that have brought them back. I know that when I found out about it I went to Little Caesars quite a bit more often.

It ruined my "core" for about 2 hours.

My beef with the $5 pizza is that it's hit or miss. If you happen to nab one that's hot out of the oven, it's great, especially for the price; but I also think that LC's pizza is among the worst in terms of retaining its value - it's only good for about 30 or 40 minutes. That is, if your pizza has been sitting there for more than 20 or 30 minutes (which is highly possible), it's going to be crap. Personally I've been dealt 3 straight crap pizzas, and 4 out of 5. It has become difficult for me to go in there now.

^^^ agreed. with LC's $5 dollar pizzas its either delicious or crap. anyone tried those Pizza Mia's from Pizza Hut. Ive had one twice and they both were horrible.

Pizza is overrated along with soda, chocolate, and chips. Why not lose yourself in the deliciousness of a pastrami sandwhich or a nice Reuben with extra sauerkraut?

That's why I always check before I leave. If it's not good enough, I ask for another one until I get one that satisfies me.

I don't mind being picky, I paid for it.
