I've been around since the summer of 2004 and found this place while looking for MVP Baseball info/rosters. It's been fun seeing this site evolve over the years. It's def one of my favorite websites of all-time.

Good god man, what a memory!

I wish I could remember everyone from when I first joined and everyone that has made OS what it is today. Cookusu and Pol were two that I had forgotten, that STPO mentioned and I'm sure there are many more.

            Congrats AA!!!

I didn't officially join until June 2007, but I viewed under another account (I forget what it was), but never posted for quite awhile before joining, so it's probably been around two years for me.

I found OS from the 2K boards. I was checking out some legacies over there and someone linked to DonCoryell's College Hoops 2K7 dynasty, so I went there and discovered this site.

This, along with Talkweather and the EasternWX forums are the only forums I visit on a regular basis.

YES! I really want to find that thread where we found out he was on the ASB team...classic, classic thread.

I miss the Asshat award and the pink titles.

Re: I've been a member of this site for EIGHT years.

I found this site back in 2002-2003, I was about 15 years old....Funny cuz I remember using google to find some cheat codes(just got my first PC lol) and eventually came across gamefaq which directed me to madden mania then finally here! Been a lurker first then eventually signed up in 2004(had to reregister in 05)

Before I came here I was a roster head, I could not play a game without updating rosters...Never knew what the h*** sliders were for or did! My first time using sliders was on High Heat 04(which I would had not knew about if it wasnt for OS) I used Pared's sliders and became in love with this site and eventually left roster editing to the other members here and started working on sliders myself(see a need, fill a need)

Login into OS is apart of my daily life now especially since I can log on thru my phone...Basically the only reason I go online lol

                I really need to donate....

Re: I've been a member of this site for EIGHT years.

It's been nearly 5 years for me (August 2004 signup).

I don't recall why I signed up (edit: I remember now... listed at bottom of post). I don't think I even posted much when I signed up. But then about 2 years ago, I started coming here more often and found pretty good discussion for such a large place. It was certainly a step up, in terms of number of members and activity, from the other places I frequent (Dynasty Manager and 2khockey.net). Personally, I like that you can come here, check a forum, refresh it, and see new posts already. Conversation is always flowing. Yeah, you have your idiots, but there are also a lot of very educated members, as well as people willing to help or give advice or opinion.

I do kind of feel like an outsider at times, as there seems to be groups on here that have been around each other for a long time while I'm kind of a rogue, doing my own thing. Not that that's a bad thing at all... it's natural. I know I'm more inclined to continue discussion with members I'm familiar with on the other message boards I visit daily then some members I don't recognize.

But overall, OS is definitely one of the best places on the 'net. I was initially lured here by the very fair reviews of sports games. There was no EA or 2k bias. I always trust the OS reviews, as they don't sugarcoat anything or get paid off to write glowing reviews of games that just don't cut it.

I look forward to another 5 years.

Re: I've been a member of this site for EIGHT years.

I can't believe how the time flies. I originally was a lurker on the site back in 2001-2002, created an account in 2002 and lost my info. I have been a regular since 2003 when I first started with doing weekly roster updates for NFL2K5 on the XBOX. I guess its been about 7 years for me on OS.

I have gone through several name changes on here, lol over the last few years. I'm the original candyman baby. LOL!

Through the good and bad this place has been great. I was able to branch off and start my own small website with a friend of mine that I met here on OS back during the MLB2K6 days. There are still a lot of cool guys here.

It's crazy that I've been here since '01 and people who have been here since last year have 4 and 5 times as many posts as I do.

I was even a veteran of the Kobe Wars on the NBA forums. Some of the darkest days in OS history. Memories goes out to all who were lost....

Re: I've been a member of this site for EIGHT years.

I started coming here when I worked at my old job which was either 99 or 2000? Did we exist yet? I don't even remember what my old name was. I stopped posting though and lurked for a bit, then got a new account in '03 I think because of MVP baseball. We went bat poop crazy for MVP baseball.

When I first came here, I was a bachelor, hadn't met my wife or was sober more than 3 days a week. Now I am married 5 years, with a 3 year old son.

My greatest contribution to this site is my NCAA 2004 Heisman sliders, and the Babe Showdown. Now I just don't have the time I used to.

I was starting my internship and had just finished all of my classwork at Auburn.

It's also amazing that many of the original members of this site are still very active.

I was looking at some old threads and it was crazy how long ago they were.

I am almost to 6 years - It just goes to show the strength and insight of the OS community.

Now only if we had a OS Alumni job board........................
