The only reason there is hate is because its one of the most difficult sports to play and the most demending of every aspect of your body and mind...it may look boring and feel boring, but it is one hell of a sport and doesnt cost $35 to play. You just need 2 feet and a ball.

There's also more ways to get some sweaty dude in short shorts to lay on top of you with his crotch in your face, making it FAR less manly. Same goes for amateur wrestling, IMO.

That's not even close to true.

Soccer is hated in the United States because it isn't very popular and most of the popularity that we see is among Europeans.

Europeans feel the same way about our football, It's not because they can't "appreciate the strategy" or "they aren't men" like are often claimed; it's because they don't play it.

That said, on it's merits soccer probably doesn't belong in the "manliest" sport list. In popular culture, "manliness" is generally violent, physical, and risky. Soccer is more of an endurance and foot skills. It's not a "womanly" sport, but like basketball and baseball, it just doesn't really offer a "macho" angle.

And in no way, shape, or form could anyone consider soccer more manly than lacrosse.

I don't think I've seen anyone here try to argue that, though, yet you keep bringing it up for some reason.

That said, I don't feel the need to justify how much of a man I am by the sports I play/ed.

Ask this guy if soccer is a "pansy" sport.

The "manliest sport" argument is a stupid one,IMO. Some sports have certain aspects that "de-manlify"(not a real word I know) themselves.

The fact that it looks as if he is wearing a skirt certainly isn't helping your argument

Hm. Another list just to put football at the top. Rugby>football in terms of injury risks and energy spent playing, so wtf mang.
