Yeah, I've met the guy she is dating now, and well, he is nothing special. But I can't try and compare myself to that, right now it feels like a kick in the nuts, but this is the first time I have really ever been open to rejection. Life lesson, the quicker I find the next girl, the better off I will be.

Been down that road before. The simplest way to get over someone is get drunk and while drunk, delete their number out of your phone. If need be, get a friend to do it. I stumbled upon this and didn't know I did it until a few months after the fact. A friend had to remind me I did it. At that point, I was dating someone else.

But why does it work? Because when you do small things when drunk, you NEVER remember them. The next day, her number's no longer in your phone but you don't ever notice it. Eventually, you will realize it. But by the time you do, she's nothing but an ex at that point and it's no big deal.

        Trust me, it works.

Not at all, I agree. It took how may years for EA to get to the greatness of MVP 05. It was towards the end of the PS2 prime.

Yeah, they've been out of the game for too long IMO ('06 with NCAA '07, right)? I don't really know what makes people think they'll be able to come back in and steal the market share right back from SCEA and 2k.

Agreed, and not to mention the original team was dismantled and moved on to other companies, etc.

There is no guarantee it will be any good at all. It takes years of refinement.

And even as good as MVP05 was, IMO it is all nostalgia now. It has been surpassed in many many ways.

do you know what i'd give for a college baseball game?

Seriously. Weekend series in the SEC beat any MLB series as far as entertainment value goes. IMO it's head and shoulders better than college basketball. talent-wise there's not a lot of difference between LSU, Bammer, USCe, Arky, Vandy, UF, OM, and even Auburn is on the up.

Let me preface my statement with the fact I dont even listen to the Beatles. I dont think I have heard more than a few songs and it was long ago.

You only dug your hole deeper.... pretty much everything today is better than it was 30 years ago. It truely amazes me you are trying to compare a modern band with the Beatles the way you are. You may like Oasis better, but they cant touch what the Beatles did in their time. Again "their time", if you keep trying to take their music out of context that is your fault.

It wasn't just their music either, the whole style (including the floppy hair).

I hear the same thing from metal fans who don't see the big deal about Black Sabbath, but without them today's metal might not exist.
And thats another (probably better) way of saying it.

What I cant stand is when people call something overrated just because they dont like it.

the thing about music is it means something different generation to generation. When the Beatles came out it was something completely new and different and sounded good. For those who were around or alert enough as a child it was a great thing and equally great music. As time moved not only did that generation grow also did the type of music the Beatles represented it began a movement that started with one band. For me I really don't like the Beatles just not my cup of tea, but I respect and understand.

You probably know this, but EA did make a pair of College Baseball games during the PS2 era, after 2k signed their party-exclusive deal with the MLB. Not sure how editable they are though, or if anyone actually still does rosters for them.
