Glad Fox decided it was fine to cut off half the scoreboard on my tv this week [/sarcasm]. I would rather watch Green Bay vs Washington, but I might have to switch to Baltimore vs. Denver just because this is going to bother me.

At work on Sunday ftl. At least the Jets play tomorrow night, but the worst is I'm going to miss my son's baseball game today. And it's about 70 degrees outside, bright, perfect sunny skies. ****.Originally posted by Anthony BourdainThe celebrity chef culture is a remarkable and admittedly annoying phenomenon. Re: Off Topic 2010
They do it often actually, especially at restuarants with a lot of high rollers. Mainly because a lot of people that make 6 figures and higher a year don't pay much attention to their bank statements. They had a Dateline special & CNN report on it a couple of times the past few years.Yeah it kinda makes you wonder how ofter this happens. I imagine a lot of people wouldnt notice.
But that is messed up.....I mean seriosuly dude, this was a place that had valet parking. I could see something like that at a Pizza Hut or something, but a place with valet parking ? Oh hell no, I would have called the owner, manager, etc, complained and left.
I am not going to eat some freaking cold pizza. Then the dude didn't even say sorry ? SMH.
I always hated service sector people who do a half arse job just because they get low pay and have that what ever type of attitude. It don't matter if you get paid $7 an hour or $40 an hour, a job is a job and you should do it to the best of your ability.Comment

Re: Off Topic 2010
Wow that's pathetic service.
The worst service I've ever had at restaurant was at Outback Steakhouse with my family about 6 months ago. I was the first one to order my food from the waitress, told her what I wanted whichever entree, and she's like "Okay, and that comes with what sides?" I gave her a blank look and told her I had no idea and asked what my options were since they normally tell you the options. So she tells me, "Hmm, I'm not sure, just tell me something and I'll run back and see if we can put it on your plate." WTF.
She did the same thing with the rest of my family. Then when she came out to refill our waters she dumped water all over the table not paying attention, and didn't even come back with extra napkins or rags to clean it up after we asked her TWICE. Also, we asked her 3 times for extra silverware since there wasn't enough on the table and she never brought any, so finally we just stole some from an empty table.Comment

Re: Off Topic 2010
I actually walked out of a restaurant for the first time in my life last month. My roommate and I walked in, were seated and then they disappeared. We waited for 15 minutes and were never even given menus, no drink order, no "sorry I'll be with you in a moment", nothing. The place wasn't even busy. Finally I said lets go, and we got up and went to Applebee's instead.Wolverines Wings Same Old Lions Tigers Pistons Erika ChristensenComment

That sounds terrible, Wazzu.
And L3, I've walked out of a restaurant too. Went into one once and wasn't greeted or acknowledged after standing for 5 minutes. Like what in the world? It's a small palce too, it's not like no one saw us.Comment

Re: Off Topic 2010
My worst restaurant experience was finding out this waitress was a lesbian and had a life partner 3 years ago. She was the finest waitress I ever seen. She had to have been a double F, was about 5'4, brunette, italian.
But other then that I have had pretty good service when it comes to restaurants. Speaking of italians it is a cute italian girl that works at this pizza hut in town. However she is only 20 and I am married. But she is a cutie though.
When I think about it, it is a lot of fine italian chicks up here, especially in Albany, New York.Comment
