Yeah, I don't buy that either but, I still think that the firing is pretty stupid. Maybe it's because I can empathize with the guy because I'm a Bama fan who has been working in Baton Rouge for the last 3 years. For the first year, I worked as an Assistant Manager at a furniture store. They had a pretty strict dress code and all managers had to wear I tie. I never wore a Bama tie to work but, I did wear a white dress shirt, khakis and a red tie on every Saturday during the fall, openly spoke about being a Bama fan and I never got in trouble.
At my current job, I don't deal with customers but, the owner of the company played football for LSU. Also, we have a bunch of ex-players working for us and some current players "work" for us during the Summer. Friday is "Purple/Black and Gold day and I usually wear my Bama, Packer, Red Sox or Celtic attire. I catch a ton of **** for it but, I would certainly never be fired because of it.



However, that makes me think maybe theres something more to this story.
