Why does it seem like every time I lose a game in Madden it is to a team with a losing record?

Also, why is it still damn near impossible to return punts in that game? And why on the extremely rare occasion that I break a return of more than 20 yards does it invariably get called back by a penalty?

/end rant.

Returning punts has to be one of the hardest things to do in that game. Right behind blocking FG's & punts.

Really the only reason to go to a Super Bowl party for me is the food. I made up for it though by not having to look socially acceptable.

Stopped going to SB party's for the various reasons mentioned here already. Better off watching it in the convenience of my own living room without dealing with drunk douche bags I may or may not know.

Maybe I would've went if it were teams I didn't care about, but I hate watching a game that I have a strong rooting interest in with other people. Especially when they don't know anything about either team other than Tom Brady is good.

Exactly.
I didnt care about the teams, but Im rooting for NE. So, I would probably be the only one rooting for them. Plus the place isnt that big. I didnt want to go there just for the food.

Super Bowl parties are ****ing stupid. At least around here.

Who wants to watch the biggest game of the year with people who don't know or give a damn about anything? People who will talk during important moments, people who will be more interested in watching commercials than whether Tom Brady will get his 4th ring? If you have a bunch of people who care and know what they're talking about, then that's obviously better.

Was supposed to be me, my bro and my Dad. My mom turns around and tells our cousins, aunt, and uncle. I don't have a problem with them but they don't give a flying **** about the game. It's just going to be more noise and nonsense to deal with.

This is why I prefer Championship Sunday over Super Bowl Sunday.

Part of the fun at super bowl parties is the gambling. We would have a large dry erase board with a grid where you buy a square or two, and once all the squares have been bought, they're filled in randomly with numbers. I think drawing from a deck of cards is involved somehow, but it's been over 10 years since I went.

Then there is a different dry erase board with rules, and a large plastic bowl in the middle of the room. Everyone brings their change cups, and tosses .05, .10, .25 or whatever is the designated amount for the action that occurred, according to the rules board.

At the end of the game, the money is counted up and divided between whoever had the correct game score on the points grid (broken down by quarter), and whoever most closely predicted the final score. It's pretty fun, even if you don't care for football.
