    Cooking a birthday dinner on Sunday...been testing stuff out in the kitchen all day. I'm trying to do everything from scratch which is making things a little difficult. I've been spending the last hour trying to perfect a homemade steak sauce

          Are you trying to mimic one you've tasted before or you've seen on store shelves or just inventing your own?

            I've talked pounds of **** on my old pizza job, but I found myself asking if they need a bit of help 2-3 nights a week on top of this stock position I'm starting somewhere else tonight.

            They just lost 3 or 4 employees. Call that perfect timing. Got in touch with the GM, and he's asking when I'm free.

            It's absolutely insane how things come back around.

            Better believe I still toss a mean pizza pie.

              Just throwing stuff together and see what's good. I came up with:

              1/3 cup Worcestershire sauce
              2 tbsp ketchup
              2 1/2 tsp flour
              1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
              Black pepper to taste

              Nothing extravagant but it came out really well, although I might trim back on the flour a little bit. My butter garlic sauce for the pasta I made with it was lacking, but I didn't have fresh garlic at my disposal.

                I turn 24 on Saturday and I have been feeling the same way.

                Might drive down to Tampa for the USF/FSU game though, that should put me in better spirits.

                  I wish I had some more of the chicken I cooked, Saturday night.

                  My dad helped me run a cable to the back deck and I put a 40" TV out there, invited some friends over, and did some grilling.

                  I grilled some bbq chicken and used the kraft hot BBQ sauce, with some other favorite seasonings and it turned out awesome.. also cooked some of the best burgers I have ever cooked..

                    Very nice. Ketchup and worcestershire sauce, two of the main components in a classic steak sauce. After that possibilities are limitless. I like to add apple cider vinegar and horseradish to mine. Small amounts of course. Those are both very potent ingredients ha-ha.

                      Can't do horseradish...my mom and grandmother used that whenever I swore as a kid. The smell of it still makes me gag to this day

                          All the food here on campus looks and smells delicious, but alas, I'm stuck here killing time instead of eating because I don't have enough time wait in line for something before the bus comes. Maybe on Wednesday, though I have no clue which play to go to with all the options.

                            Well, I hope I don't get banned for reporting one of Steve_OS post. He posted in the spam thread that the coder tweaked some things with the report button and asked someone to test it so I did.

                            It's a lot faster now though.
