Anyone Ever Have Moles?

Pretty sure I've got a mole problem in my front yard. I really don't want to kill the mole but I can't have it tearing up the yard. Anyone have any success with any other techniques?

Techniques other than poison or traps? No...

I suppose you could always bait a neighbors yard and try and get them to migrate, but your best bet is to just nip the infestation. It's like mice, no humane way to stop it once they're in.

I thought this thread was going to be about birthmarks.

Certainly don't expect to hear about that kind of mole problems in February, at least not in my area.

I really don't have anything else to add. We had a mole? hole in my moms yard once and I would repeatedly either plug it with gravel or try flooding it with the hose.

That's what we always did. Not sure if it was moles or groundhogs though.

I've got a mole problem...had one for the last 3 years ever since we bought our house. I looked into various ways, and it seemed like the only way to really get rid of them--based on what I read--is to use those spike traps. I just can't see myself setting that thing and then removing the dead carcass from the spikes. No thanks.

Mouse traps are one thing, but that is a whole different level.

I may try the hose thing this summer to see if it works.

I'd put something down in the hole but it just keeps pushing up these mounds of dirt. There's no holes in them anywhere there's probably about 8 of these in my front yard. I just keep stomping them down. I can't figure it out. There's no displaced grass, no holes, nothin but just pushed up dirt.

Make your own hole from one of the mounds.

Make your own hole from one of the mounds.

Yeah, get a small gardening shovels or one of those pick-like tools that you use to scrape weeds out from between cement slabs and carefully move the dirt away from the mound to expose the underlying hole.
