Re: Off Topic 2013
Haha, I think it is a nice state, and my buddy lives in St Louis.
Kansas City was probably the most impressive city I drove through on the way here, as well. Nice looking downtown area from what I saw from the interstate.
But it was SOOOOOOOOO hot.GO 'HAWKS!

Re: Off Topic 2013
Random question, but I can't seem to PM any moderator or find a place to ask the question:
How long until I can post in the Dynasty section? I was always a lurker, but decided to sign up so I could make a topic on there. But I'm not allowed to just yet. Anyone have any ideas? ThanksComment

My Chocolate Lab, who we bought from the pet store my sister worked at at the time, originally came from Missouri. We think it was probably a puppy mill. Always wondered how pet stores got there dogs or how a single puppy could wind up at some random pet store hundreds of miles from where it was born.Steelers : IX, X, XIII, XIV, XL, XLIII

Re: Off Topic 2013
I guess I can officially say I got a promotion to full-time at the TV station. I'm going to be a photog. Doesn't pay as much as other full-time positions that are available, but it's the job I wanted. And going from 20 hours a week to 40 won't be too bad either.
But the best bonus is I get to spend more time with our female reporters.Boston Red Sox

Re: Off Topic 2013
Ha, I started in sports management too. I dropped it before the first semester ended once I realized most of the classes were a waste and I could still get into sports other ways. Did math instead and was in talks with an NBA team until I got hired elsewhere. Maybe some day I'll still try to get into it, but sports management is only good if you are willing to be just above an intern. It's too much about who and what you know now. Otherwise, you'll just be stuck in middle management which probably isn't much more exciting despite working for a sports franchise.I'm on my second official major...I would've stuck with my original (Sports Management), but Bloomsburg doesn't offer it and the money isn't good.
Hell, I have friends who changed their minds after they graduated college...one of them went for math education and does something that has nothing to do with that. Another got a degree in finance and works for a software company.Comment
