That's because that field is generally not one to get a degree in.
In all honesty, your best bet would be to go the comp sci route. Get a job in that field and then focus on making a portfolio showing what you can do in applying those skills. Start small, working on mods for games, mobile games, etc all the while building and refining your skills.
Working for a large developer out of college is really a pipe dream.
Look at job postings for places that you think would be a dream job for you... see what their qualifications and requirements are and start small. Rome wasn't built in a day.
We have a couple people on these boards that work as developers and if this is something you are truly serious about I'm sure they wouldn't mind giving a few pointers/jumping off points to you.
Editing for more stream of consciousness... a lot of people want to just jump in, partially due to where technology is today, and make the next big AAA game but if you look at these companies and where they got their start it was on simpler things like old DOS and "basic" games like that.
