                                        Somber day. We're taking my wife's grandfather off life support today. I've lost many people in my life, including 4 this year alone, but never in this way. He fought valiantly but his wishes were to go without the machines if the chances were too slim for recovery.

                                        He's a great man and toughed out the last couple years in hidden pain, holding on to see our wedding. Pretty much immediately after, he's been in and out of the hospital. I feel like he knows she's in good hands and can leave this world for a better one now. We're gonna send him off on a vessel of love & fond memories until we meet again...

                                            46,289 people attended the first Texas 6A Division II State Championship between powers Cedar Hill and Katy.

                                            Looks to be slightly more than that for the Division I gam between Cypress Ranch and Allen.

                                            And there it is. 52,308 in attendance.

                                                Ended up saying screw it and reformatted my PC. Aside from the 108 or so Windows updates and updating to 8.1 again, was fine. I actually like it more now as no more annoying Windows Update error and a noticeable performance increase.

                                                    Was watching Akira on adult swim tonight. During the climax the local emergency alert system came on talking about a child abduction emergency. I was pissed...because it interrupted my movie. I am feeling the appropriate amount of shame right now. I need to get my **** together man.

                                                    I really do hope the child is fine and returned.
