I signed up for the tri-state for 10/12. Should be fun.

Had a blast for my first Tough Mudder. I am now signed up for the Poconos Tough Mudder on April 25th.

Looking to add a Spartan next year as well.

Anyone experience lightheaded-ness after squat? This has been happening to me lately and I never had any issue before. Usually I'm doing 2x15 @ 315 but even at lighter weight or less reps I come up a little disoriented and have to take a minute to recompose myself.

Lower the reps/weight until it stops. If it doesn't, see a dr.

Did you eat beforehand? I experienced that during a intermittent fast once and it was scary. It's such a power movement and I guess I needed alittle something beforehand for fuel

                    2x15 @ 315? Why are you doing 15 reps @ 315?

Squats are the exercise I used to get lightheaded the most often. You might need to work on a breathing pattern when you lift.

Did my first 10K race this morning. I had a lot of fun, but man, the course was tough. A lot of hills and single-track. Reminded me of my XC days in high school. Wish I had worn my trail shoes, but oh well. Finished just over 56 min. I was hoping for sub-55, but that was before realizing the course was hillier and not as fast as I anticipated, so I am satisfied with the time.

I always lose weight slowly. I'm trying to get down to 205 by the end of October. It's going to be tough since I'll be out of the country a lot and will have limited workout time. I'm down to 212 now. I was 223 at the beginning of September.

Vacation is a killer. Just weighed myself after being on vacation for a week in Florida and I gained 3 pounds and am at 175. Back on T25 this week for sure.

Yeah....I was down to 212 as well....but whenever I workout....I always go right up past 220 to 222 or 225.

I'm going to give it another try to get towards 200 and still maintain the muscle mass I currently have.

Yeah I think it has something to do with my breathing. I tend to go a while without squatting then pick it up again and I think I never got my breathing right when regaining form. I was doing some research after I posted and found this on BB.com:
"squatting (and deadlifting, or any lift that increases intra-abdominal pressure) triggers the Valsalva, which increases parasympathetic tone on your vessels (or to be more accurate, decreases sympathetic tone), which causes widespread dilation of blood vessels, primarily of the big veins in your legs. While you're squatting and your muscles are engaged, the muscles take up enough space within the muscular sheaths that there's no room for excess blood in the veins. However, when you finish squatting (and your muscles relax), all of the sudden there's a huge amount of space in your legs for the veins to loosen up, and blood to essentially "pool" in you legs. The more blood pooling in your legs, the less is returning to the right side of your heart, and less it is able to pump forward towards the lung, and in turn, onto your brain (which is why you get light-headed when your done. Consequently, also why your heart rate jumps up when you finish. If u had a blood pressure cuff on you would see a sharp drop in systolic blood pressure). "

And FWIW 315 isn't really heavy weight for me. My workout is loosely based around HIIT and I find that that weight at those reps gives me a good burn. I usually don't feel lightheaded at all until I actually rack the weight and step away from the rack.
