He can definitely play the position if needed (he did it some at Lorient), but I'd rather give Jenkinson one more shot first than play Coquelin out of position. I'd still rather see Coquelin then play Gibbs or Santos there, though, so Coque is my second choice backup. Maybe first choice if Jenkinson continues to look bad.

Koscielny has volunteered to be our right back. No, thank you.

I think Wenger will give Jenkinson a shot for sure. He deserves it. He was signed as our second RB. It's his spot to lose.

Jenkinson played great today. Lets also not forget the difference Santos made in the back line as well when he entered the game.

Its almost scary to think where we would be without him right now. He has basically single handedly carried this team the entire season.

Song annoyed me that game. I think he's vital to our team, but in the second half he fancied himself an attacking midfielder, making surging runs forward forcing Arteta to play back and be more defensive, when it should be the exact opposite.

I can't stand when he does this, he doesn't hang back as much as he should which is why his playing style constantly leaves holes at the back.

I guess before the game RVP spoke about how much he wants to stay at the club. So for now, I hope the talks of him wanting out due to not talking contract are put to bed.

As for Song, while him coming forward sometimes can seem to leave too much space at the back, perhaps if our back four could play a proper high line and know when to step forward it wouldn't be as huge of an issue when Song wanders forward.

Also, while we would be nowhere without RVP, I think we'd be even worse off without bringing in Gervinho. He's what we've needed for a few years now in terms of running at defenders and instead of pulling back and trying again, he pushes forward and is determined to create a chance.

You're absolutely right, but it is an issue because of our high line struggles, so Song needs to not hang back more often. And even if the high line was better, I'd still much rather see Arteta surging forward then Song. Song is vital to our team and is an excellent defender. And when he's not moonlighting as an attacking midfielder, he's one of the best DM's in the league.

Let's not forget this is when it was at 1-1. A point was grand for Sunderland, but unacceptable for us. Also, I don't think we'll ever see Arteta surge forward. Not really his game.

                                Beat me to all three.

What RVP also clarified is that his house had been up for sale for awhile now, before his contract was even publicly discussed. It won't end until he signs a new deal and I'm guessing that won't happen until the Summer. However, we need help up front and someone has to shoulder the burden with him.

I believe he now has 28 goals in 35 games, which is incredible.
